Apple introduced its new professional video editing software Final Cut Pro X this summer, you can read its full review here read here. New from the workshop from the start Applu has aroused a rather negative reaction from professional users, who unanimously agreed that it is a software combination of iMovie and Final Cut. ProAfter complaints from professionals who need the software for their work, Apple even decided to refund the full price they paid for Final Cut to dissatisfied customers Pro X paid. Founder RHED Pixel Richard Harrington has now come up with the claim that Apple finished the Final Cut project Pro 8 just before its completion and subsequently introduced the Final Cut Pro X.
Founder RHED Pixel Richard Harrington argues that Apple completed a new version of the editing software Final Cut Pro 8, which has been completely reworked to 64-bit. Apple However, Final Cut Pro 8 was never released and its development was stopped just before completion, saying that it was only evolutionary software, which is not what he wanted. Apple to do, he wants to introduce revolutionary software. Richard Harrington literally says: "Apple had Final Cut Pro 8 completely in 64-Bit, but when they looked at it, they said, "This is not what we want to do, it's an evolution, not a revolution," and they subsequently killed this project." Richard Harrington is certainly not the type of person who needs to make a false statement. So his information is probably true and accurate.

"Richard Harrington is definitely not a human." So is he a dog, a monkey, or what? Are you missing theonec, Romanoh :)
So I think it's time for Final Cut Pro 8 again from the grave :). You can't really work with Xk. It crashes all the time, it still doesn't support broadcast reference previews, it doesn't work well with SD resolution, it has problems with European image standards, it doesn't work with a bunch of codecs natively, but it re-renders everything into ProRes, etc. you could write 2 A4s of technical shortcomings that make professional work impossible. I only see the positive in the native AVCHD editing, but this codec is only used by semi-professionals. It's a home program just like iMovie.
Final Cut Pro I would take 8 or update FCP7 to 64-bit!
:)
Does anyone seriously use iMovie X?
I agree that Xko crashes. It happens to me twice in about 3 hours of work.
Final Cut Pro I tried X for a 30-day trial on two different computers and I can confirm that the application crashes very frequently; when working with more complicated layers, I completely lost one project because it always crashed when opened. So I'm happy with the "seven" again. But if X was stable, I would go for it for AVCHD.
It sucks Apple gave up with the pros. If you ruin another Aperture like this, I don't know :(
Grumpy like now Apple he's doing what he can :(
Well, I'm in danger of a time when the software will force me to quit FCP7.
I don't know, I like Final Cut. Pro I really like X. Effective, a program that combines iMovie and Final Cut. I tested the 30-day trial version and I'll probably buy it because I've gotten used to the new features and I like them. The big problem is the aforementioned crashes of the application, but since the project saves itself, I just turn FCP back on and move on. ProI haven't messed up any projects yet, so I don't have this experience. And since it's a brand new application, it's clear that something will be missing and a lot of plugins are coming and coming and Apple as far as I know, he promises to add and deliver those professional features, so we'll see. But I just like FCP X.
That's the proofreader: FCP X may appeal only to enthusiastic amateurs. But for professional television and film work, it's a write-off. And with it, unfortunately, Mac Pro, whose price the wide-screen televisions could accept (given the advantages of the environment Apple in general).
the new FCP X is great, I edit professionally and I really can't praise it enough... I have it too macbookPro and sometimes I also use it in the field (FullHD: XDCAMEX, AVCHD – 50P! and HDV). plugins are being added as well as improvements (but it's still the first version!) But it requires thinking "differently" than with the classic timeline! The only problem was that I had to cut to the music, but I succeeded ;)
it would still like an output to an external monitor and it will be absolutely great!
to PoP: I wouldn't allow myself to submit anything without checking it on the monitor...
