Adobe has released a list of known issues that may affect its products under the new OS X Lion operating system. The whole list is quite extensive and the cause of several problems could be the fact that OS X Lion can block hardware acceleration for Adobe Flash Player. According to Adobe Flash Player, it really causes an increased load on the processor when playing a video on YouTube. It is possible that a broken hardware acceleration is causing this problem.

Other known issues with Flash Player include, for example, a mouse cursor animation bug. In response to issues with Flash Player, Adobe has released a document containing a number of solutions to problems with programs that either do not work or work with problems. You can find the full list on the Adobe website, here is just a short list:

  • Due to the lack of Rosetta support, older programs from Adobe (CS2) do not work
  • The new features of the Lion operating system (multitouch gestures, versions, full screen, and more) do not yet work correctly in Adobe applications, and Adobe is considering including these features in future application updates.
