It looks like the company Apple brought a possible solution to the problem of discharging iPhonem, whose owner doesn't have a suitable charger on hand. A recent patent filed by the Cupertino company suggests that a slightly different wireless charging method could be used in the future. A device with a "fuller" battery could be able to charge a second, less charged device without having to physically connect them with a cable.
The patent, published this week, concerns “inductive charging between electronic devices,” and describes a way for two devices—such as a tablet and a smartphone—to charge each other.one – they can recharge each other using the current level of charge. iPhone, which is running low on battery, could be charged from an iPad that has a fully charged battery, according to the patent.

Thanks to this patent, the owners of electronic devices could not only be fully and always mobile, but also the need to always take chargers, cables or power banks with them everywhere, or to constantly look for a free outlet. The patent application mostly talks about the use of induction coils that are used for wireless charging. Instead of using them to simply "receive" energy when charging - as we are used to today - Apple suggests that induction coils be used to transfer energy bidirectionally.
The images included in the patent show an iPhone placed in the center of an iPad's display while charging. iPhone lies on the tablet with his back to where the corresponding computer is locatedonenty. In some cases, an alignment magnet could also be used to keep both devices in the correct position for optimal charging. The patented device could also be used with other devices, such as MacBooky. Placing multiple coils in a larger device could even allow for charging a larger number of smaller devices at once – such as an iPhone and Apple Watch. The patent further describes a situation where one of the devices is charged classically via a socket, and at the same time other devices located next to it are charged simultaneously.
Company Apple enables wireless charging of your latest iPhones and smartwatches Apple Watch. If the Cupertino company really wanted to put the recent patent into practice, it would entail significant hardware changes. It is possible that this is simply another of a wide range of patent applications which Apple serves very often.
