When my wife wears a Rolex, she secretly carries her Garmin in her purse so she doesn't miss a single step her watch is tracking. I got the Whoop so I could wear a classic mechanical watch and still have everything I want measured. Now it seems you can simply wear your Rolex, Patek Philippe, AP, or whatever and still have all the data your smartwatch is tracking. HIYD is miniature sensor that sticks to the lid of your mechanical watch using a unique micro suction cup. It uses no magnets, no glue and leaves no stains or abrasions. It doesn't matter whether your watch has a lid made of gold, metal or you have an exposed movement thanks to sapphire crystal. The manufacturer promises that the sensor sticks to everything. It only takes seconds to attach or detach it from the watch and it should never fall off.

The sensor itself then connects to the app on your device via Bluetooth. iOS or Android device just like any other sensor or smartwatch and shows you the data you're used to. It measures things like HRV, steps, heart rate, sleep and recovery. The sensor is only 2,7mm tall and 25mm wide. So it should be able to stick comfortably on 95% of classic watches. The battery lasts for 4 days of non-stop measurement of all activities and then you charge it either with a band that you put on your arm and the sensor charges. Thanks to which you don't lose any data from the night or with a separate charger. The sensor is now available as part of pre-order at a price of €129, with a later price of €259. So if you love mechanical watches as much as I do and at the same time want to have data about your body, then this is a very interesting way to achieve this.
