Owners of Apple smart speakers will probably soon receive one of the most requested features in history. Users Apple TV although they have been able to use it for a long time HomePods as their default speakers for audio output. Until now, however, they were limited to just two. The foundations for this new feature appeared at the beginning of the month, when the code in the test version of the software for HomePod has revealed hidden hints of upcoming surround sound support, and the speculation has now been confirmed by the release of the latest beta. As FlatpanelsHD has discovered, as part of the tvOS 27.2 testing build beta 2 can be made into one Apple TV Connect four 4K devices wirelessly at once HomePods. Specifically, in the test, the system managed to send sound to two large models in combination with two HomePod mini.

Despite the fact that the Home app already allows pairing of two pairs of speakers, Rasmus Larsen from FlatpanelsHD points out that the new feature is not yet fully ready for production.
