When Apple released into the world last week iOS 26.4.2 as another correction version iOS 26, focusing on fixing bugs, especially the ability to view deleted message notifications, has pleased many users with this step. Frequent release of updates iOS is ultimately perceived by many of us as evidence of very good software support, which is, after all, Apple long-standing reputation. However, it seems that not everything is in iOS 26.4.2 was a success after all. More and more users are starting to complain about problems they are experiencing with their iPhone started to appear just after installing this update.
Although we have not encountered any problems in the editorial office so far, on social networks and discussion forums you can relatively quickly find messages revolving around the rapid discharge of phones and heating, whether during charging or normal activities. The faster discharge was independently confirmed to us by several of our readers, who contacted us by email asking for help. What is quite interesting is that the vast majority of users who complain about problems are united by the fact that they do not have the latest generation iPhone, but models from previous years, which is perhaps the reason why the problems do not appear in our editorial office. Unfortunately, at the moment there is no alternative solution that would be able to solve the problem at least until the next update - that is, except for returning to iOS 26.4.1. If you are also experiencing these problems, you have no choice but to wait for a corrective update, or until then, play around with settings such as location services and the like, which have the greatest impact on the phone's battery life.
It's not just a problem with older models. Updates are useless
Sorry to say…
iPhone 17 Pro Max iOS 26.3 and happy life ✌️
iPhone 13 Mini on the contrary, good. I switched from 26.2. I left out the ones in between – according to the test on the iP 13, they ruined the battery. Good now.
16pro… the discharge started on April 26.4th… 2 updates without any change… battery life is about half, terrible…
Me with my iPhone Air I don't notice anything with the battery life or heating. I charge it to 85% every day overnight and around ten o'clock in the evening I put it on the charger with about 25 and 35%, which suits me perfectly, so I haven't noticed any heating either, so hopefully it's good. Of course I have the mentioned 26.4.2.
This is the kind of crap that happens every time a version is released. iOS years ago. It's completely normal for the phone to reindex after an update. Just don'tchat overnight on the charger.
Well, I always thought it was stupid, but this is the first time I've had it too. I'm 14. Pro max with 80% battery life, and since the update it drains and heats up a lot more than before, it drains about 30-40% faster, and heats up even when I'm just scrolling through emails, even without the cover on.
