In addition to playlists, recommendations, and podcasts, music streaming app Spotify also offers a feature that many people are using more and more often - displaying song lyrics directly while playing. If you haven't tried it yet, you might be surprised by how simple it is.

The lyrics are displayed directly in the player and are automatically synchronized with the current part of the song. In other words, when the artist starts singing the next line, Spotify will highlight it at that exact moment. This is useful not only for singing at your private karaoke party, but also when you want to better understand the content of the song.
Not only English
A few years ago, lyrics were available mainly for big foreign artists. Today, the situation is significantly better. Spotify is gradually adding lyrics to Czech and Slovak songs, so you can find them for pop, rap and alternative music. I'm not the youngest anymore, so I've experienced times when finding the lyrics of a foreign song was quite a problem. When I sometimes turn on the display of lyrics for one of the songs I used to listen to, I'm surprised at what my brain was able to do with the song at that time.
How to view song lyrics in Spotify on iPhone
The whole process really only takes a few seconds.
- Open Spotify on your iPhone.
- Play the song you want to listen to.chat.
- Tap the player at the bottom of the screen to open it full screen.
- Swipe down below the playback controls.
- The lyrics will appear and automatically scroll with the music.
- If you want to see all the text at once, tap More.
The ability to see lyrics while listening is one of those little things that, in my opinion, takes Spotify a step further. You don't have to Google anything or search on different sites - you have the lyrics right in the app and what's more, they're synchronized with the music. Once you get used to it, you'll start using this feature surprisingly often. Whether it's when singing along to your favorite songs or just out of curiosity about what the song is really about.
