Kaloria AI is one of the applications that quickly gained attention upon its launch. The combination of food recognition using a photo and a personal AI coach made it a tool from the beginning that is aimed at anyone who wants to keep track of calories, diet and exercise without unnecessary writing and counting. Since the publication of our review in October, the application has also received a number of new features that, in my opinion, are definitely worth imagining from a distance. The developers have worked on a number of improvements and added features that I perceived at the time as a certain negative and a hypothetical blemish on an otherwise great idea. The result is today a significantly more complex and mature application that has the ambition to become an everyday partner for a healthier lifestyle.

The basic philosophy of Kaloria AI remains the same, of course. The user simply takes a picture of the food, the application uses artificial intelligence to immediately recognize what is on the plate, estimate the portion, calculate calories and macronutrients, and automatically enter everything into the daily summary. So you still don't have to worry about any manual entry, no complicated search for items in the database, or anything like that. This simplicity is one of the main reasons why the application is able to find its way to people who would otherwise give up on tracking their diet after a few days.

They are newly acquainted with Apple Health

A major advancement is the new full two-way synchronization with Apple Health and Google Health Connect. Thanks to this, Kaloria AI can now not only take data on steps, workouts, weight or calories burned, but also write them back. This means that all important data is unified across the ecosystem and the application can work with really accurate information in real time. Precise net calorie countance, i.e. the difference between receipt and disbursement, is one of the key pillars of the entire application.

Another new feature is expanded activity and training tracking. Kaloria AI now supports more than 50 types of exercise, for which it can calculate calories burned and project them into a daily overview. Whether you run, cycle, go to the gym or exercise at home, the application has an overview of how much energy you expend and adjusts the recommendations accordingly, making it even more "tailor-made" for you.

An even smarter AI coach

The AI coach itself has also received significant improvements. It now understands training sessions and can offer personalized nutrition advice before and after exercise based on them. For example, if you have a demanding workout ahead of you, it will advise you on the appropriate meal composition, and afterwards it will recommend how to support regeneration. The coach also works with your long-term goals, monitors trends, and continuously points out what is going well and where there is room for improvement.

Pro For users who have a clear idea of where they want to go, the ability to set their own nutritional goals has been added. You can determine your daily calorie intake and macronutrient ratio, and the app will adjust to these values. Pro user version Pro In addition, unlimited is available chat with an AI coach, so you can ask about a specific situation, food, or plan for the next day at any time.

But the developers have also worked on performance. The application is now noticeably faster, meal analysis is faster, and overall control feels smoother. Combined with a clear daily energy overview, macronutrient statistics, weight tracking, and long-term trends, this creates a tool that makes sense for both beginners and advanced users.

Also worth mentioning is a small but actually very clever detail in the form of so-called viral cards. The application can generate them, for example, after taking a picture of a meal or reaching a certain milestone, whether it is consistency, a fulfilled fitness goal or some other progress. The result is a visually attractive card with a photo of a meal or a captured success, supplemented with clear information such as macros or a coach's comment, which can be shared on social networks with one tap. The cards are available via the icon in the top bar of the application and fit nicely into the overall philosophy of motivating users to be regular and share their own progress.

The application has matured and that's only a good thing!

Kaloria AI is for anyone who wants to take better control of their energy and movement. So whether you're trying to lose weight, gain muscle, stay in shape, or just better understand how your body works, the app gives you data, insight, and support without the hassle. Just take a picture of your food, move as usual, and the rest is done.chat on the app and its AI coach.

Bottom line, if you were interested in Kaloria AI before, today it's an even more interesting choice thanks to new features. And if you're discovering it for the first time, it can be one of the easiest ways to start tracking your diet and exercise without stress and manual recording.
