Apple in September he stated iOS 26 for iPhones and with it the all-new Liquid Glass visual language. This design brings translucent layers, subtle reflections, and a sense of depth that unifies the system and app environments. While Apple deployed Liquid Glass in its own apps from day one, the true power of the new design is shown by how third-party developers have embraced it.

(Not) perfect Liquid Glass
As is often the case with news, the launch iOS 26 with Liquid Glass has not been without its problems. Many users complain that the subtle light reflections in the corners of the icons create an optical illusion of tilt, which can be not only distracting, but in extreme cases can also cause dizziness or a feeling of disorientation. Hundreds of posts with thousands of likes have appeared on Reddit, where people describe that the icons look "crooked" or that after prolonged use they feel "like after a few drinks". The criticism most often concerns dark wallpapers and Dark, Clear or Tinted modes, while the colored background partially masks the illusion.
It doesn't help either activation of accessibility features, such as reducing transparency or restricting movement, which do not visibly alleviate the problem. Apple has not yet issued an official response, so we can only wait to see if it will offer the option to disable or adjust the Liquid Glass effect in future updates.
