Squid Game is ready to welcome you back to the arena. You can now watch all seven new episodes of the Korean drama on Netflix.

The trailer, which was released in early December, revealed that the hardened Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae) aka Player 456 is returning to the deadly games with one goal: to end the terrifying competition once and for all. Forced to play new games, Gi-hun finds himself in a tense battle with the shadowy Frontman (Lee Byung-hun), whose true motives remain shrouded in mystery throughout the twists and turns of season two. Will Gi-hun succeed, and how many more lives will the system claim in his attempts? You can find out right now when you press play on the second Squid Game series.

Director Hwang Dong-hyuk is excited about what awaits him in the return of Squid Game. "I've got a lot on my shoulders, but I'm going to make it worth the wait," Hwang told Netflix in 2023. The Golden Globes seem to think so: The second season of Squid Game has already been nominated for best drama at the upcoming awards serial.

The first season of Squid Game introduced fans to the K-drama's titular deadly game that forces citizens to gamble with their lives. In return, they can win a world-changing cash prize—or face dire consequences. The down-on-his-luck Gi-hun continues to be the show's main character, and Season 2 picks up on the decisions that left him breathless in the Season 1 finale.

"The second season explores how Gi-hun makes good on his words after leaving the airport," Hwang says in a new behind-the-scenes featurette that revisits the first season. "Gi-hun's quest to find out who these people are and why they do what they do is the main story of the second season."

Lee adds, “In the first season, there was room to show glimpses of Gi-hun's different personalities, such as his optimistic nature and positive energy. This time the emphasis was on his determination.'

Once you jump into the game, read on to find out everything you want to know about Season 2, from the plot to details on the new players.
