Press release: Websites can be made in many ways, and PeckaDesign does them excellently. Even though the company is constantly innovating technologies, accounting has long been handled mostly "on paper". Fortunately, thanks to ABRA Flexi, everything is different.
The beginnings of graphic design
Year 1999. Designers Katka and Michal create graphics on PCs, which are called "pecky" in Brno, where they live. So when a young couple founds a web development company, they named it Pecka. But the Pecka.cz domain was not free in 2000, so they added the word design. And the first big order is coming soon – graphics for the ČEZ website. Strong players on the market – Electro World, Benu pharmacies or Megapixel.cz – are interested in their magic not only with design, but also with development (on their own PeckaDesign Publicator), analysis, UX and marketing.
Transitioning accounting into the digital era
Success is growing and so is the technology used. Only the accounting area is lagging behind... "It was basically analog - although we had most of the documents digitally, afteronec everything had to be printed out (i.e. converted into analog form) and handed over to an external accountant. She took the documents and converted them back into digital form, but in some of her “antediluvian” DOS program. The outputs, such as payslips and the overall level of accounting, corresponded to this,” summarizes Michal Horák. Today, fortunately, with a smile – with accounting program he is so satisfied that he also recommends him to clients.
"And for one reason in particular - in our opinion, ABRA Flexi has one of the best integration options via REST API that we have encountered. If someone is serious about their e-shop, this is a crucial aspect when choosing an ERP," says Michal.
Digitization development thanks to APIs
And in connection with the API, he has an interesting plan for the future - to connect the internal order management system with Flexi so that it is possible to see issued invoices and their status - (paid, unpaid, overdue, etc.).
And what's keeping the company busy right now? "We're working on a large e-shop for Super Zoo, we should launch a new version this year. And we also want to focus more on developing mobile applications for e-shops," Michal says.
Three main reasons why PeckaDesign works with ABRA Flexi :
- The crisis decided.
In 2022, with rising costs due to inflation on the one hand and an overall cooling in e-commerce on the other, there was a need to have overall financialance companies under greater control.
- Proven experience.
Probecause there have been long-term good experiences with ABRA Flexi in the sister company DesignVille, the founders decided to switch to this tried and tested solution in PeckaDesign as well.
- Konecompletely without papers.
The company deployed the complex economic software in test mode during the fall of 2022, and since January 2023 it has been fully accounting in Flexi, including payroll and the like.
"From January 2023, there was no need to print a single A4. When I see how well it works, I think that we should have switched to Flexi a long time ago," says Michal Horák, co-founder of PeckaDesign.

- All-inclusive care. Information System Flexi handles issued and received invoices, wages, VAT, contacts. And it gives an overall overview of how the company is doing economically.
- No rewriting. Accounting as such is taken care of directly by ABRA (again following the example of DesignVille). Digitally. PeckaDesign enters documents, the accountant then handles accounting, VAT, wages, etc. All within one cloudinstance Flexi.
- Flexibility. The company mainly uses a desktop application for creating documents, while the web application is used more for statistics and graphs, which are clearer here. The advantage is thus multi-platform - everyone works on a Mac.
