Are you scared by the advances in artificial intelligence that we have seen almost daily in recent weeks and months? You are not alone. Some former and current leaders of the technological world, led by Steve Wozniak and Elonem Musk. Both therefore decided to sign an open letter of more than a thousand academics, which is intended to alert AI developers to the possible risks of their work and to force them to slow down development or, ideally, even suspend it for at least a few months until certain control mechanisms can be set up.

In the open letter, the signatories specifically call for the current high pace of development of artificial intelligence to be stopped, as it is largely uncontrolled, which may pose a great risk to society and, by extension, humanity as such. Advanced artificial intelligence could completely change the order of things on Earth, which is why it must be handled very carefully. Unfortunately, given the "madness" that AI has caused in recent months, more and more developers are starting to work on it, which makes artificial intelligence an almost uncontrollable matter.

The creators of the open letter are not only concerned about dark scenarios in the style of Terminator, but also that artificial intelligence will be abused in the future for propaganda and the spread of fake news, which has been a major problem for humanity recently. ProBut the problem may also be that AI will simply and effectively replace many jobs, or rather it could be capable of doing so, which could to some extent throw the world into chaos, because it will change the established working order and de facto set a new shape of the world. For this very reason, it needs to be perceived as dangerous and worked with really carefully and, above all, in such a way that it is under control.
