Press Release:Company QNAP® Systems, Inc., a leading innovator in computing, networking and storage solutions, has introduced innovative ADRA Network Detection and Response (NDR) software for upgrading QGD Series PoE switches (QGD-1600P a QGD-1602P) on a cybersecurity device. The ADRA NDR system was designed with rapid testing and screening at its core and to integrate multiple detection, analysis and response functions. It can detect lateral movements of ransomware in local networks and block suspicious activities to protect enterprises and businesses from leaking sensitive data and mitigate the spread of ransomware in the local network.
"By simply installing the software QNAP ADRA NDR can turn QGD switches into cybersecurity appliances. Unlike traditional cybersecurity solutions, ADRA NDR can proactively identify and automatically block suspicious lateral movements on the local network through rapid scanning and threat traps. All these features and more help protect private and confidential data on NAS devices and servers from malicious attacks,” said Frank Liao, product manager of the company QNAP.
Attackers are particularly targeting storage devices known to contain valuable personal and corporate data. Company QNAP As a leading NAS vendor, it has accumulated specialized cybersecurity knowledge and created the ADRA NDR system, which can be installed in the QGD-1600P and QGD-1602P PoE switches. This solution provides advanced protection for every NAS, server and client – not just for products QNAP. ADRA NDR’s targeted lateral ransomware detection capabilities (including Threat Watch selective scanning) identify hostile activity at an earlier stage of an attack without impacting network performance. Once attacks are detected, further analysis is performed to determine appropriate response policies, such as quarantining the affected clients and ensuring they do not affect other clients on the local network.
With built-in managed switching and PoE functionality, the QGD-1600P and QGD-1602P can replace existing access switches that are directly connected to end devices and add security features without changing the original network infrastructure. Hostile traffic to and from connected endpoints is selectively scanned and analyzed to determine its threat level for automatic blocking or manual processing. The QGD-10P's 2,5GbE and 1602GbE ports serve as fast links to aggregation switches or NAS and increase the performance of your network topology.
