Prague has a metro, we have an autonomous one minibus. Perhaps this is how many Brno residents will react. This is of course a joke. But really – the first ever autonomous bus in the Czech Republic will be tested in Brno. Even though it is an autonomous vehicle, a driver will definitely be present. Currently, there is only speculation about which line the bus will be on. In any case, the good news is that riding it will be completely free of charge so that the Transport Research Center has as much feedback from passengers as possible. It should be seen on the roads no later than June. But it also has a downside. Its maxThe maximum speed is 40 km/h, but for safety reasons it will drive up to 20 km/h slower. The battery capacity is also not great. The bus can drive maxat least 4 hours, then it needs to be charged for up to 3 hours.
