If you're one of our long-term readers, then you might remember an earlier article about the app Subways. It makes traveling on the Prague metro much easier and can display individual departures to the second, and whether you are even able to catch the given connection. Czech developer Ondřej Korol has now, in collaboration with his friend Daniel Pecher, even expanded the portfolio applications with other interesting tools, including, for example, Trams with a focus on the rest of public transport.

A complete overview not only of public transport departures
I would certainly not hesitate to call the Tramoji application a very important companion for anyone who sets out to discover the beauties of our capital city. Thanks to the fact that appka uses available open data from the Golemio platform, it can display completely accurate information about tram and bus departures in real time, even including possible delays. The best thing is that thanks to location services it can also calculate the length of the journey to the nearest stop, which also informs you whether you will catch the given tram or bus or not. Moreover, it does not end with these means. Tramoji also displays metro departures, as well as regional trains and ferries.
So let's see how it works in practice. You just need to download the application for free from App Store here and then run it. It is important that we appce have allowed access to location data, without which it cannot provide us with relevant data. Subsequently, on the main page we will see the stops near us and their direction, as well as the time, how long we will have to walk to the stop. At the bottom right, we can also click on the metro icon, where we will find the nearest stations and individual departures.
Am I catching up? The emoticon will tell you
I really like the way Tramoj shows whether I'm actually catching the connection or not. Everything is done using emoticons, which in my opinion are appThe icons bring a “fresh breeze” and more life. In the case of tram and bus connections, a raised thumb informs you whether you will be able to reach the stop on time by walking, while for the metro, these are traditional emoticons.
I can honestly recommend the app to practically anyone who is planning to visit Prague. Compared to traditional apps and timetables, it makes travelling around the capital city much easier. The main difference I see is that while others appky will show you an excessive amount of (useless) information, so Tramoji will only show you what you really need.
Hello. I've been using this for years https://apps.apple.com/us/app/mhdapp/id529823940 and I won't let it happen. I use it almost every day and it also works for other cities, in fact for all those that have public transport. it will be of no use to them in good over low, but I also don't know about an app that monitors where a hen is running around the yard and alerts me when a marten gets into the chicken coop.
Last update 2017? Isn't that a bit out of date?
We are looking at the same appku? I see the last update for Tramoji in October 2021. :-)
