Russia's still-developing Angara 5 rocket headed into space during its third test on December 27, along with the new Persei second stage. The rocket was supposed to make a second ignition after launch, which would put it in a higher and more stable orbit of the Earth. But this did not succeed and it was therefore certain that the body weighing 20 tons (including fuel) would fall into the atmosphere. It was not clear whether the body would pose a danger to populated areas. We now know that the object fell into the Pacific Ocean, approximately 4 thousand kilometers from the coast of Peru.
