Although we have been hearing from all sides for many years that when creating access passwords to accounts or devices, it is as strong as possible, there are still individuals among us who do not follow this important security principle. But do you have any idea what passwords won the award for worst and easiest password of the year last year?

Company North pass has published a list of the worst passwords of 2021, which was obtained by analyzing more than five million passwords that hackers managed to steal this year around the world, mainly in Europe and North America. However, stealing is too strong a word when looking at the list of the most popular passwords. The position for the most popular password was occupied by the classic “123456”, followed by the slightly longer, but still simply transparent “123456789”. What is quite interesting is that the most used passwords worldwide miniThe first places are relatively solidly in line with those that, according to the Nordpass analysis, turned out to be the worst for the Czech Republic and Slovakia. However, it should be added that some peculiarities also appeared among the simple passwords in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The prize for the most smiley goes to the Slovak password "kokot", which came in 17th place. In the Czech Republic, Sparta scored solidly, which is 18th. So, if someone still uses such passwords today, they deserve to have their account misused, regardless of its nature.
Mine is not there because I have a verified "safe password" NBuser123 :)
What are we talking about, passwords are sometimes quite tricky. What I would give for a unique chip under the skin, a reader next to a notebook, at work, instead of a card, simply everywhere where a password is required and it would be painted. When creating an account somewhere on the net, enter the login and beep the chip and that's it.
The seventeenth password amused Slovakia.
I have all passwords encrypted. So no one can figure it out even if they want to :)
Hello. For some 20 years, I was involved in IT security in the state administration. I was working with information of a high degree of protection. I trained users to use a simple but never, in any way detectable password. I will share his work with you:
today is ? 12/14/2021. so the password will be: "014.prosince2021". It's up to you to choose which two letters will be capitalized. For example ProsinCe, or PRosince, or pROsince, or prosinCE. and between December and 2021 you can put a dot, comma, space. If you create this way of creating a password, then know that even the Google computer will not be able to get into your account even if it scrapes passwords for 1000 years. And if you also use the month as the regional name or make the password "šalinóprýgl", not even an Ostrava resident will be able to decipher it.
Well, Slovaks are quite established from what I read here.
