Reader. That's exactly what the first of the two applications is called. Minihealthcare system, which is supposed to help put an imaginary end to the coronavirus pandemic not only in the Czech Republic. The second is Tečka, whose usability will be much more interesting for ordinary people than the reader. While Tečka will allow you to simply upload all certificates related to COVID (i.e. vaccinations, tests or illnesses) to your phone and then easily prove them, the reader will be used to read QR codes from them. Of course, its compatibility with paper versions of certificates or even just screenshotand photos of certificates on your mobile phone, which are currently replacing the Reader for many of us.

How to use the dot

  1. Download the reader from App Store here
  2. Run it and agree to the privacy policy
  3. Once you get to the home screen, choose "Scan QR Code"
  4. Allow access to the camera
  5. Aim the square viewfinder on the display screen at the QR code on your certificate
  6. Once you have completed all of this, information about the validity of the certificate will appear on the display.

If your certificate is valid – for example, if you have already had two doses of vaccination or a test or have antibodies confirmed by a doctor – your iPhone screen will turn green and information will appear on it that the certificate is valid. If it is not, then you will see red on the screen and information about the invalid certificate.

It is not entirely clear at this time when exactly we will see the second half of this "COVID hammer". MiniThe Ministry of Health promises toonec June and early July, but the exact date has not yet been announced and it is possible that it will not be announced until the application is released. We also experienced the same story with eRouška, whose entry into App Store a Google Play was quite a challenge. The positive thing is that both the čTečka and the Tečka will be compatible with pan-European solutions, so proving it anywhere in Europe will be more bearable.
