Nowadays, some people are able to see racism everywhere. NASA is trying to prevent this by stopping using nicknames for various objects that could seem racist. For example, the Eskimo Nebula or the Siamese Twins galaxy. NASA representatives said that they use nicknames to make the universe more accessible to the layman than often meaningless and long names. They added that such nicknames could hurt someone and distract attention from science. Proit will recede from them.
