Apple is a pioneer in many different ways, and it is no longer true that this statement only applies to hardware.onec ends, Apple has one patent after another confirmed, and a significant percentage of them also relate to wireless technologies, which are and will be the alpha and omega of the technology sector. Now the Californian giant has come up with a new solution to share information between users.

About patents AppWe write about it every day, and often these are quite interesting and innovative methods that are just waiting for someone to implement them. The latest confirmed patent is no different, which focuses on wireless data transfer. According to the company, this could happen by pointing two devices at each other and the transfer would immediately begin. Apple In short, it assumes that this is how most human communication will take place in the future, and so it tries to simplify the entire concept. AirAccording to the Californian giant, Drop and, by extension, Bluetooth is already a relatively outdated technology, whose slow response does not keep pace with the times. Detection of nearby devices often takes a relatively long time, which, according to the company, is apparently unacceptable. Apple so he wants to ensure that the entire process takes place in a few seconds, so that the user does not have to wait too long.

The replacement could be optical transmitters and receivers, which are strikingly similar to the old IRTalk system. It was based on the concept of optical devices that exchanged information with each other using beams. After all, it was Apple that came up with this idea and successfully implemented it. The patent was jointly awarded to 6 inventors and researchers who have up to 200 different patents, mainly focused on optical communication, ultra red radiation and photovoltaic devices. Two of them, Omid Momtahan and Tong Chen, are also behind a new method of using moving lenses in space to transfer information. In their work, they concluded that this would be a much faster and more efficient way of exchanging information and files, but on the other hand it depends on how precisely the device is aimed and a slight deviation would be enough to cause the whole concept to fail. Simply put, the main thing would be a beam that would travel from one device to another.

In practice, all you have to do is point your phone at the right angle to someone else's device, and it will instantly transmit an electrical or light pulse. In any case, the lens, or beam receiver, would have to be able to rotate to capture the information correctly. This is an incredibly complex system based on the precise movement of light, but it would require precise handling. A simpler solution would be to use infrared light, similar to how you control a TV remote. We'll see if Apple implement the concept or come up with something more effective.
