A few years ago, PUBG showed the world what battle royale games should look like. At its peak, this game had around 1,5 million active players. But Fortnite came along and the player base dwindled to around 497 players at the end of last year. Now the average is even a little over 300 thousand players. In addition to Fortnite, Apex Legends is also responsible for the massive drop. So things definitely don't look good with PUBG, and time will show how things will actually turn out with this game.
