With information about upcoming smart glasses or headset from the workshop Applu has been in a state of flux lately. It is true that at first this barrage of news was not exactly positive, as it implied that he had imposed Apple the whole project on ice, but now it looks exactly the opposite. In the code iOS 13 and 13.1, you can find a huge amount of more or less interesting clues that confirm the work on this product and, what's more, indicate that we might not be too far away from it.

In the code, developers came across the mysterious “StarTester” file and several other elements directly linked to it many weeks ago, including a classic readme containing sketchy information about the AR stereo in combination with iPhonem. This afternoon, the developer, who goes by the Twitter nickname xSnow, managed to pull off another stunt. Through the links in iOS 13 and 13.1, he managed to run the “StarTester” test mode on the iPhone X and XS, which confirms the theory that iPhones could ultimately be used as displays for a headset or miniat least as an alternative to them.

The developer managed to run the test mode of the application first on the iPhone X, which, however, according to the resulting image, is not enough in terms of performance to handle all tasks with quality. In the case of the iPhone XS, which came second, the situation is much better, as you can see for yourself in the video that the developer shared on Twitter. So it's more or less clear that a headset or smart glasses will require extremely powerful hardware, which is probably why Apple is still waiting to introduce them or miniIn recent years, he has been waiting until he manages to create technologies of sufficient quality for a similar type of product.

At this point, it is very difficult to predict when it might go in this direction. Apple with its skin on the market and present its new product to the world. However, we can already say miniAt least the work on the project is apparently gaining momentum and it cannot be ruled out that the presentation is more or less around the corner. However, what form the product will come in is still up in the stars. Although a drawing of the display appeared in the codes, the result may be something completely different. Hopefully, we will have clarity on this in the next few months.
