During the visit Apple Store in Florence I wanted to buy a little something as a souvenir. My eyes fell on the Hot Wheels ID car models, which I had not seen anywhere else so far, and for the price of 8€ I simply had to buy one of those English ones. Of course, since I am friends with Horacio Pagani, I could not buy any other model than the Pagani Huayra Roadster. If you don't believe the friendship, when I met him in his museum and we asked for a photo, he said two words to me: "OK, fast", which I basically consider a conversation and therefore we are friends.
What does Hot Wheels ID actually mean? These are special English cars that have chips on them, with the help of which you can upload them to the application of the same name, in which you will then get the opportunity to drive this car on virtual tracks. Everything is of course also accompanied by special Hot Wheels ID tracks that you can buy at Apple Store and which you can then drive the cars around in the real world. However, we will discuss these next time, for now let's talk purely about the cars themselves. They are the ideal collector's item that you can buy in Apple Store.
The toy car itself looks like a classic English car, its workmanship is at an excellent level, and given how cheap and small a model it is, the details are really surprising. On the sides you will find the signature of Horácio Pagani himself, on the front there is a classic Italian tricolor, and on the back there is a typical quadruple exhaust pipes, brought out in the middle of the car. So everything corresponds to reality and looks very nice, especially considering the size of the model.
Once you unpack the toy car, just take it iPhone, open the Hot Wheels ID application and scan it there using its chip. This will get it into your virtual garage. This can then be combined with real Hot Wheels ID tracks, but as I already mentioned, we'll talk about those next time. If you don't have a track that costs less than five thousand crowns and you want to collect models in peace, you can still use them. First, you still have the model with you using augmented reality, when you can notchat projected anytime and anywhere right in front of you so you can view it from all angles in the ideal light. You can read the information and technical parameters of the car and of course view it directly in the virtual garage without using augmented reality. By purchasing a toy car, you also get virtual points that can be used to improve it.
That would be quite a bit, however, and that's where the real fun comes in. You can use the toy car in a game in which, thanks to each model, you get its driving characteristics and you can use it perfectly on the track, whether you have decided on an extra fast Pagani or, conversely, a Tesla S, which has extreme acceleration, or any other model that has its own unique characteristics. The game itself is about riding on Hot Wheels tracks, collecting various checkpoints and so on. The whole game is in the style of track mini and it managed to entertain millions of people all over the world. That's why I believe that Hot Wheels ID can captivate you too. On the one hand, you get a really nice model for the price of €7,95 and you can also use it in the virtual racing world. So if you next go to Apple Store and you want a little souvenir and you already have all the accessories at home, Hot Wheels ID may be an interesting option.
