This morning we informed you that China had made a major breakthrough. A cotton seed germinated in their probe, marking the first time a plant had germinated on the surface of the moon. Along with the cotton, the container also contained other seeds and animal eggs, but the entire experiment is now over. The temperature inside reached such a low level that all the seeds and eggs were killed by frost. The scientists decided to turn off the energy supply to the container so as not to waste it unnecessarily. Nevertheless, they consider the experiment a success.
