South Korea, home to Samsung, has announced plans to impose corporate taxes Apple, Amazon, Google and other tech giants. Companies there complain that it is unfair that foreign companies pay little or no taxes in the country, and thus discriminate against local brands. Samsung is trying to fight Applehas been with other Chinese brands for a long time and this move could help it in the competitive war.
For years, South Korean companies have called on the government to impose taxes on foreign companies that sell their products in the country. It seems that the government has heard their wishes.
