That's why I decided to look for the best alternative for trying out the games that the black box from Applu offers. Control with a classic remote control is clumsy, at least when it comes to games. I expected a similar scenario from control via the gamepad. But the initial skepticism disappeared with the first click of the button on the SteelSeries Nimbus.
A distant relative of the Xbox controller One
At first glance, it is noticeable that the SteelSeries Nimbus resembles the shape and layout of the buttons on the Xbox gamepad from Microsoftat. The only difference is the flipped arrows with analog sticks and a different colored version of the alphabetic buttons on the right side. By means of the middle button labeled MENU, you can stop the game in progress or return to the basic screen. When grasping the controller, the edge surrounding the front of the gamepad gets in the way slightly, but after a few minutes you can get used to it very quickly.

The on/off slider is located on the back of the gamepad, near the right trigger. Due to the location of the ON-OFF button, I managed to accidentally turn off the gamepad a few times during the game. Well, if this happens to you, nothing catastrophic happens because the controller connects to the currently used device within a second. In global, the gamepad is held in the hand excelentne, the layout of buttons and triggers will suit even the pickiest gamer.
You connect the Nimbus controller to your iPhone, Apple TV, iPad or Mac very simply and quickly by pressing the Bluetooth button, which is also located on the back. The numerical LED panel in the center of the controller tells you which device you are connected to, or whether you even have a paired device. An advantage that all fans will surely appreciate Applu, is charging via lightning. Of course, you may not even need it, because Nimbus can handle up to 40 hours of playing, which is quite decent by the standards of bluetooth accessories.

Of course, you cannot compare the current generation of Apple TV with powerful game consoles. At least not yet.
