Spaceflight is a very expensive affair, mainly because a launched rocket cannot be used more than once. However, SpaceX's biggest competitor, a joint venture between Boeing and Lockheed Martin, has been working on it for a long time United Launch Alliance (ULA). It is developing a reusable rocket called Vulcan, which they would like to compete with Musk's rockets from SpaceX. They already manage the partial return of some parts to the ground without any problems. After all, we were convinced of this by the spectacular landing of the additional engines of the Falcon Heavy a few weeks ago.

"The Vulcan will make its first flight in mid-2020," Boeing CEO revealed. He also added that the cost of this rocket should start at $100 million. This is approximately 70% less than the launch of ULA's largest rocket, the Delta IV Heavy, which cannot be reused.
