A few days ago, we informed you that Broadcom is constantly trying to soften the management of Qualcomm with attractive financial offers and get him to sell the company. His recent offer to buy Qualcomm was a very solid $121 billion. However, he won't go with that either.

According to the latest information, Qualcomm's board of directors unanimously agreed to reject the new offer. The price of 121 billion dollars is said to significantly undervalue this giant chip manufacturer, which is of course unacceptable for a sale of this scale. According to the letter that Qualcomm sent to Broadcom, the buyer does not realize that Qualcomm is an important player in the field of 5G networks.

Future 5G networks will decide

It is Qualcomm's 5G modems that could play an important role in the future development of the lawsuit with Applem. Although the Apple company is determined to order LTE modems from competitor Intel for this year, in the following years it will probably be forced to take Qualcomm at its mercy after the arrival of the 5G network. According to many analysts, the latter is best prepared for the production of this technology, thanks to which it will win back this lucrative contract. However, with this, of course, its price will increase significantly. Even for that reason, the sale would be an illogical step.

It's hard to say at this point whether Broadcom will decide to increase the offer a little more in the coming weeks or not. However, since he has already decided to take this step several times in the past months, it looks like he is really worth the acquisition of Qualcomm and wants to get it at any cost. But is he willing to raise the price to a level that would satisfy Qualcomm?
