We like Christmas, but not so much Christmas shopping
We usually consider the holiday season to be precious and joyful, but Christmas preparations and shopping are a source of psychological discomfort for many people. According to the results of a survey conducted for the company PayPal shows that 25% of Czechs experience stress during Christmas – one of the highest numbers among European nations. They often worry that they will not be able to find the gift they want (34%). They are also afraid that they will not choose the right gift (36%), will not keep their budget under control (36%) or will buy gifts at the last minute (42%). Among other factors that deprive the Christmas atmosphere of joyful excitement, respondents mentioned traffic jams and crowds in the streets. They admitted that these particularly annoy them (58%). In the countries neighboring the Czech Republic, the mood associated with Christmas shopping is similar – a third of Poles and almost a fifth of Hungarians experience negative feelings.
The cure for Christmas fever is online

They cited a number of advantages of online shopping: the ability to avoid crowded stores (88%), time optimization (80%) or the ability to buy gifts abroad at the best possible price (72%).

With just a few clicks, you can easily replace the hustle and bustle with a little peace and joy," says Matt Komorowski, CEO of the company PayPal for Northern and Central Europe.
