Currently, there are several different devices that are used to diagnose serious oneempowerment, but the startup Butterfly Network is raising the bar in global medicine even higher. Vascular surgeon John Martin began testing the Butterfly iQ device on himself earlier this year, thanks to which he removed a malignant tumor from his neck.

According to a report published in MIT Technology Review, a doctor tested ultraaudio device compatible with iPhonem. Startup describes its Butterfly iQ invention as the first solid-state ultraaudio device in the United States.

The doctor had had an unpleasant feeling in his throat for a long time, so he naturally took the opportunity to test the Butterfly iQ on himself, finding a three-centimeter lump on his neck. It later turned out to be a malignant tumor, which, however, did not have fatal consequences for the doctor thanks to timely intervention. Martin noted that he didn't even have to be a cancer specialist to find out that he had a tumor on his neck, because it was the revolutionary device from the Butterfly Network that gave him the diagnosis.

The Butterfly iQ is essentially small ultraa sound scanner that displays scan results on an iPhone connected via Bluetooth. The handheld device is expected to go on sale early next year, with a price tag of under $2,000. Pro idea currently used ultraaudio devices cost around $6 and up.

Butterfly iQ with integrated artificial intelligence is designed to help almost anyone diagnose a serious problem in time even in the comfort of their own home.

After learning he had cancer, Martin underwent major surgery and chemotherapy, and thanks to early detection of the tumor, he recovered. At the same time, he realized that the potential of a device like the Butterfly iQ is truly immense.onechy.
