Google will cover Puerto Rico with the Internet thanks to its special balloons

Despite all efforts, the vast majority of Puerto Rico is still offline. Internet connection in this country is a great luxury, considering that there is a struggle for clean water and electricity.

Google recently received a license from the FCC to deploy 30 balloons over the island to provide basic internet services to residents. Google has not yet said when the balloons will start operating, but it is believed that the FCC license expires in April 2018 - so by that date, most of Puerto Rico will beoneonline.
