Web browser from Applu Safari Hackers at the PWNFEST conference showed off their skills. They received a reward of a total of $100 for discovering a security hole and gaining root access to macOS Sierra. The team that managed to Safari "hack", consisted of members of the groups Pangu and JH. Another challenge, namely breaking iOS 10 on the iPhone 7, according to available reports, has not yet been defeated.
A message from the organizer of the security conference appeared on Twitter. He tweeted under the account Vangelis that the combined team of hackers Pangu and JH managed to successfully achieve victory at PWNFEST. They received a prize of 100 thousand dollars for hacking a web browser Safari to gain root access to macOS Sierra. You probably know the Pangu team from their numerous iOS jailbreaks.
Pangu and JH succeeded in exploiting Apple Safari on macOS Sierra and got root privileges, and $100,000 in #PwnFest2016. #POC2016.

Details have not yet been released to the world. What is certain is that the combined teams successfully won both the base ($80) and extra ($20) prize. For hacking iOS On 10th, a prize of $7 was announced for an iPhone 180, but the winner is not yet known - or rather, it is not yet known whether anyone has already succeeded.
Safari wasn't the only browser that fell victim to experienced hackers at PWNFEST - they managed to overcome, for example, Microsoft Edge, running under Windows 10, or Pixel from Google, for which they earned a reward of 120 thousand dollars.
All hacked systems were running on their latest version. Details of the penetration into the systems of the company responsible for the development of software that should prevent "injury" from black-hat hackers will be received.
