Year after year has come, the leaves fall to the ground in a slow, floating motion, the sun's rays are trying hard to penetrate the gaps between the clouds to warm us, we put on warm jackets, throw our sandals back into the shoeboxes for almost a year and once again we have the dilemma of whether to buy a new one. iPhone, which is an improvement over the current model, unlike last year. The size of the display, the look of the phone, the stripes and the protruding lens, all remained, but on the other hand, we have seen major improvements inside the Apple phone, which will dazzle with a new 3D Touch display, better front and rear cameras, a significantly faster processor, more RAM and new features. I present to you iPhone 6s – a big player in the smartphone field for 2015 and 2016.
We couldn't resist in the editorial office, so last Friday we got on a bus with a few strange-looking people, probably heading for a better life in neighboring Germany, where we are also in the Dresden district. Apple They bought a pre-ordered copy iPhone 6s Space Black in 16GB variaWe've been talking to the phone all week.oneWe played, took photos, filmed in 4K, pressed the 3D Touch display and generally tested everything, so that we could be the first magazine to bring you Applu in the Czech Republic and Slovakia have brought a review that should help you decide whether to buy a new iPhone or not. Make yourself a coffee or tea, sit comfortably, put away your old one iPhone Turn the display down so he doesn't get jealous and enjoy the review of the iPhone 6s - the Usain Bolt of all iPhones and maybe even smartphones to date.
Packaging: couldn't fit more
So that we don't forget anything, let's summarize the packaging and its contents. There is nothing new inside and, just like in previous years, we find Lightning cable, 5W adapter and headphones Apple EarPods. A narrow paper case is elegantly placed on them, in which you will find a manual in the appropriate language, a pair of stickers with the logo of a bitten apple and aonec of course, a cleverly attached needle for ejecting the SIM card slot. On the case is a hard, paper pad with two holes, one for easy removal of the paper case and pad and the other for the protruding camera lens. On the pad, precisely to the millimeter, lies the gem itself, for which the entire box is designed in this way – iPhone 6s.
As for the specific design of the box, it has undergone a slight change compared to last year's version. On the longer sides you will find the inscription iPhone 6s, on the shorter ones the company logo Apple. The image of the iPhone itself stands out slightly at the top, which of course corresponds exactly to the iPhone inside in terms of color, size and position, which only points to the small details on which Apple always makes it matter.
Design: Beauty and the Beast
When Apple presented last year iPhone 6 and 6 Plus with not very nice stripes and a protruding camera lens, an incredible wave of criticism arose, saying that it was impossible for a company that always sticks to design to introduce something so hideous. Over time, the negative feedback subsided slightly, but still many potential customers iPhone I didn't buy it because of its appearance. I have to admit that I was one of those critics too and I spent the whole year trying to get used to the antenna stripes, which I still can't believe he designed. Jony IveI guess I'm not used to it even now that I bought it. iPhone 6s, and somehow I'm still a fan of the iPhone 5 and 5s design, which I haven't looked at even after all these years.
From another perspective, after a while you will find that you don't look at the back too often and usually hide it with a cover anyway. Of course, I don't mean to say that it is right to buy a phone that you don't like just because you hide it in a case. Especially when it is a phone that exceeds the 20,000 CZK mark. However, the vast majority of users actually have their phone in a case and often don't take it out of it for the entire time.
I dare say that a case is a must for the iPhone 6s, and that's because of the protruding lens. At first, I didn't really understand what other people were so upset about. Of course, I didn't think it looked good, but it didn't seem like a reason not to get the phone. Now that I've bought one iPhone 6s, I understand it all. The lens will be incredibly irritating to you, mainly because you will be afraid that the camera will get scratched and you will have lower quality photos. That is just nestno, because Apple uses sapphire glass, which is much more scratch resistantancIt's stronger than, say, Gorilla Glass on the display, but the metal frame around the lens scratches too easily and over time it no longer has its original color.
On the other hand, what I iPhone 6s and last year's iPhone 6 always dazzles is the display that you look at the most. The way it is slightly curved on all sides looks great and I tend to think that all the elements on the screen look as if they are coming out of the phone. The slightly curved display in particular makes the design of the entire phone look much more beautiful, elegant and futuristic than it was on previous models.
But enough talking about things you already know from last year, let's get to what this year has in store. iPhone The 6s is really impressive and why you should break a really big piggy bank again and then turn your wallets inside out on store shelves and buy a new one iPhone Buy 6s.
3D Touch display: a great helper, but only somewhere
I think I can honestly say that one of the biggest, if not the biggest, new features of the iPhone 6s is the brand new 3D Touch display. Is it worth it? Does it work as it should? Is it really that bad? And what can it do? These are the questions that are slowly coming to mind for anyone interested in a new iPhone. iPhone and I will try to answer them now.
As you probably all know, the 3D Touch display can recognize the pressure you apply when you touch the display. It is also assisted in its work by a haptic motor that gives the user feedback on whether they have done exactly what they wanted. 3D Touch is incredibly addictive and gives the iPhone a whole new dimension and often really makes work easier. Moreover, it is simply fun and constantly entices you to try it and keep reminding yourself of what it can do. When you take your old iPhone without 3D Touch in your hand, you constantly press on the display in an attempt to call up a function that you are already used to on the iPhone 6s, but of course no menu or function is called up and it feels old to you iPhonethat you loved, as outdated, slow, and inefficient.
But is the 3D Touch display worth putting aside the old model and going for the new one? iPhone 6s? Although, as I mentioned, it is incredibly addictive and often makes work easier, I think you can probably do without it. The 3D Touch display will offer a lot of shortcuts, for example on the application icon, but you can still get to a certain area in the application in the old way, which is probably just as fast. In addition, many applications do not yet support 3D Touch, so sometimes you can use it, but other times you have to go to the application normally, which will only cause you to go to applications that support 3D Touch in the normal way, because you simply do not like to be reminded every time whether the application you want to open supports 3D Touch or not. But speaking of the application icon menu, you can rely on most of the main system application icons and you can get used to quick dialing of your favorite contacts quite easily by pressing the phone application icon harder, which will allow you to call your most frequent contacts really quickly, or for example, in the Messages application you can immediately enter a conversation with a specific person you last wrote to, which also often speeds things up. However, for example, in the Messages application, I am a bit missing some indication in the 3D Touch menu that a certain contact has just written to you and you can click on it right away. However, we could expect a similar extension in one of the following updates.
Just because I criticized the app menus a bit doesn't mean that 3D Touch is useless. Where I really see its great power is when switching between apps. On the iPhone 6s, you just need to press the display harder on the left side, swipe to the right and you'll immediately get to the next app. This way, you can easily and, most importantly, quickly and conveniently click between adjacent apps. Similarly, you can also invoke multitasking, which is otherwise invoked by double-pressing the button. Home, so you can save the button and control the switching with the 3D Touch display. I see another great and addictive use in invoking the touchpad. Just press while typing on the keyboard and you can move the cursor and easily mark or correct text. I got used to the touchpad immediately and use it daily and I see it as one of the best functions of 3D Touch. I haven't gotten used to the Peek and Pop function yet and I rarely use it. Often, on the contrary, it is a function that slows you down, because when you preview something usually catches your eye, but you don't see the entire content, so you open the link, message or photo in its entirety anyway because you want to learn more or see the content better. In addition, the peek function requires you to constantly keep your finger pressed firmly on the display, which is definitely not pleasant for a little longer reading and after a few seconds your finger starts to hurt.
There is one last question left. Does the 3D Touch display work as it should? I could briefly answer that it does 85% of the time, but let's elaborate a bit. First of all, it should be noted that not everyone has a certain feeling for controlling all kinds of electronics. I have already seen many people have problems, for example, scrolling on trackpaduu Macbooku. I would like to say that I have a certain preference for controlling all electronics the way it requires from the user. And I confirmed this with 3D Touch. Of all the people I lent the phone to, none of them were able to control 3D Touch. Of course, I understand that it takes a while to get used to and practice, but even after several long minutes of constant testing, they couldn't figure out how to press so that everything works as it should. They just couldn't do it by simply pressing harder on the application and they didn't know how to start multitasking at all, because that's sometimes more difficult for me too. When I took the phone out of the box last week and turned it on for the first time, I somehow knew how to use 3D Touch right away and it seemed clear to me right away, as if phones on the market had the aforementioned function for several years. That's why I would like to say that with 3D Touch the absolute simplicity with which it was presented has slightly disappeared. Steve Jobs first iPhone in 2007, but perhaps it is only a matter of time before Apple it refines the function to absolute perfection, just like Touch ID.
To summarize everything about the 3D Touch display, I see a great future in it, especially for third-party applications or even for the Apple, as the path to a completely new world has opened up for all programmers, which Apple has only just begun to emerge, but it has started very well. Compared to the competition, it has brought interesting features that the user will get used to very quickly and will become routine for him when operating the phone. Even if not everyone will use everything that 3D Touch has to offer, everyone will certainly find miniAt least one feature that they will love and won't be able to imagine using their phone any other way in the future.
Speed: Touch ID, Safari a iOS
they rule everything
So let's really praise it. The unmatched speed of absolutely everything on the iPhone 6s is one of the main reasons to buy it. It is incredibly fast in everything you can think of. Whether it's launching apps, playing games, taking photos, using all the functions in the entire system and so on.onec mainly browsing websites in Safari, So iPhone 6s rules. Pro someone who has iPhone 5s and older will iPhone 6s is so fast, flawless and tuned that you won't even notice how fast everything appears on the display. Especially when browsing pages in Safari There is a huge difference, especially on mobile internet. I don't know how else to describe the speed of the iPhone 6s, but I have never encountered any errors, any lag, or anything similar that I encountered with my previous iPhone. iOS 9 is completely smooth and error-free. I can warn you that I am very demanding, as evidenced by many of the criticisms in the text above, but the speed of the entire iPhone is absolutely nothing to criticize.
New Touch ID It really proves that it is the second generation, as it works great with damp or even wet fingers and you will always see the lock screen in the blink of an eye. Speed Touch ID is often surprising and you will encounter only very few cases where it would refuse your correctly placed finger. We will focus on a specific speed comparison in an article that will be published next week and in which we will compare the speed Touch ID on iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s.
As you probably already know, iPhone The 6s has 2GB of RAM, which helps the faster processor keep the entire system running smoothly. In reality, you'll only really notice the larger RAM Safari, where you will be able to view the page you opened a few days ago without it reloading. Likewise, nestIt's possible that the page would reload when you go back. It takes about a second before it's fully ready for scrolling and clicking on individual elements, but the larger RAM is definitely noticeable.
Battery: endurance that you don't even expect
If anyone was worried that the iPhone 6s' battery life would be a pain in the ass due to the slightly smaller battery capacity, read on. I expected only a small improvement in battery life from the iPhone 6s compared to the old iPhone 5, but I got something that really pleased me. It seems to me that iPhone The 6s lasts probably twice as long as my previous one iPhone, which was only a year old, as it was replaced with a brand new one under warranty, so the battery's overall capacity wasn't too bad. I don't know if this is a great optimization iOS 9 na iPhone 6s, because it is on this system that experts from Applu iPhone They tested the 6s before its launch, or whether the energy-efficient processor is responsible for everything, but I definitely have to praise the endurance. We have one in the editorial team iPhone 6, which is only a few months old and whose durability is not exactly exemplary.
Just to give an example, I left home at 9:00 in the morning, I was connected to 4G all day, then to Wi-Fi for a few hours, I made a FaceTime call for about 20 minutes, and in total I listened for an hour and a half Apple Music and the music was stored in iCloud Music Library, so it was downloaded from the Internet via the mobile network, I was replying to messages via the whole day iMessage a Messenger, often browsed websites in Safari, checked the posts and drove by Facebook, and when I returned home at 21:30 PM, I had an incredible 53%. It is true that this was a bit of an exceptional case, because the next day, when I left and arrived at the same time, I returned home with 38% and it seemed to me that I used the phone the same or maybe even a little less. Maybe I was just browsing more demanding websites, or had the screen on more often. Even so, it is compared to older models, such as iPhone 5s and iPhone 5, a huge leap.
Server phonearena even stated in its tests that iPhone The 6s has better battery life than last year's, bigger iPhone 6 Plus, which is hard to believe. In any case, all tests prove that iPhone 6s lasts longer on a single charge than last year's iPhone 6. We will focus in more detail on the comparison of the durability of last year's and this year's models next week, when we will prepare an article for you with a general comparison between iPhonem 6 a iPhonem 6s.
Live Photos: dive into the action
What is it really about? Live Photos are moving photos that record everything before and after the photo is taken. So you can take photos normally, but for all photos you will also be able to play back what happened 1,5 seconds before the photo was taken and 1,5 seconds after the photo was taken. As a result, the animation is 3 seconds long and, unlike gifs, it also contains sound. The resulting file consists of both photos and video, and in terms of data volume, it is only 2x larger than a regular photo, which is quite decent, since it is normally a 12 MPx photo. On the iPhone 6s, Live Photos are played by pressing harder on the 3D Touch display. You can even add a live photo as wallpaper and to the lock screen, where you can also play it by pressing harder on the display.
But I definitely don't think you'd use Live Photos all the time. It is a function that you only turn on when you expect the result to be interesting. It's a bit of a shame, because if you're trying to capture a certain moment that happened just before or just after you pressed the shutter, then Live Photo could save you and you'd at least have that moment for animation in the form of Live Photo . Otherwise, I think that thanks to Live Photos, users can create really interesting backgrounds for their iPhones or Apple Watch and I can already think of several interesting moments where I intend to use them.
What I would complain about live photos on the iPhone 6s is their complete non-smoothness. They cannot be compared to live wallpapers at all, which Apple serves on the iPhone 6s, because they are really beautiful and absolutely smooth. Live Photos sometimes seem like a short video that is missing some images. When you move faster, you will see a kind of stuttering, as if the moving object suddenly moved, even if there is a certain animation, it does not seem completely smooth. But with slower moving objects, the animation is seamless and looks much smoother, which you can actually see right on apple.com.
If I were to summarize everything at the end, I personally think that Live Photos is a nice function with which they can come up with really interesting things and make good use of it. Otherwise, I maintain the opinion that this is not one of the key features of the new iPhone 6s, which should make customers decide to switch to the latest Apple phone. This is a nice bonus to win and will help you capture more memories and immerse you a little better in the moment the photo was taken. You will certainly better remember the details, the atmosphere and everything else that was related to a particular photo.
In the video below you can see how Live Photos are taken and then played back. Note that you have to activate the function above for the live photo to be taken. You can also turn it off. In playback, you can then see the mentioned jerky movement during fast movement, as the fish suddenly quickly swam away from the shot.
Camera: better than ever
The most difficult topic of the review iPhone 6s, but we're going for it resolutely. The camera on iPhones is a kind of separate part, the reason and desire why customers buy an Apple phone in the first place. iPhone se It has almost always boasted a great camera, despite its low megapixel count compared to the competition. Apple but he knows very well that photo quality is not about megapixels, but about something else entirely. Even so, it did not resist this year, and with the arrival of the iPhone 6s, we got a 12-megapixel sensor with the ability to record 4K videos, and the iPhone 6s Plus with optical image stabilization not only for photos, but also for video.
Photos from the iPhone 6s have richer colors, are more realistic and have a higher resolution, so even after zooming in, individual details are sharper. In addition, the camera can focus in an instant, adapt to the light, and the overall speed is really noticeable, especially compared to older models. As for the overall quality of the photos, the progress is noticeable, but it is not that pronounced. The photos are of better quality, but only when you examine them in more detail, when you have photos from both phones next to each other and you can see individual differences in sharpness, color saturation and other minor details. Since the camera in the iPhone 6 or even in the iPhone 5s was already excellent, we did not see any significant difference in this area. Simply put - the photos are better, but unless you're shooting with both phones at the same time, you often won't know the difference.
*The photos below are just thumbnails. Pro For a full view, click on a specific photo.
However, the front FaceTime camera has undergone a huge improvement, with a 5-megapixel sensor and, most importantly, Retina Flash, i.e. a flash in such a form that the display lights up white, illuminating your face and you get quality photos even in poor lighting conditions. There is a huge difference in quality when taking photos from the front camera and you suddenly realize that your iPhone took a terrible selfie. Your face is much clearer, more detailed and rendered, and even the background is not grainy in poor light. The front camera on the iPhone 6s can make you look prettier and cleaner in the photo, despite all the details captured. With Retina Flash photos are often better than without it, even when the photo is taken in relatively good lighting conditions. So if taking selfies is a daily routine for you, then this is for you. iPhone 6s is the right choice, as you will look perfect, clean and, most importantly, realistic in your photos, which many selfie cameras on top smartphones cannot do.
4K video: only for the chosen ones
On theonec I deliberately left out 4K video, which is one of the biggest new features of this year's phone with the logo of a bitten apple. When I said above that the rear camera of the iPhone 6s has not undergone such a significant change, the assumption was not about 4K video. That is because it is brilliant and video shooting iPhonem takes it to a whole new level. I think that many YouTubers, amateur filmmakers or ordinary people with a camera at parties can put their expensive devices aside or don't even need to buy them and can reach for the iPhone 6s. There is probably nothing to criticize about 4K video on the iPhone 6s. The quality is simply great, on a smartphoneone beyond expectations and with the iPhone 6s you can create such a video that you won't even know it was shot with a smartphoneonem. The aforementioned fact is also proven by professional YouTuber Dom Esposito, who iPhone 6s filmed amazing video in 4K, which will prove to you the power of this year's model in the field of video recording and that it can replace the cameras of many.
But I would like to add two things to the iPhone 6s or rather Applu pointed out. 4K video is great, there's no doubt about that, but it's where the visible difference between iPhonem 6s a iPhone 6s Plus. Thanks to optical video stabilization, 4K recordings from the larger iPhone are clearly better, but not everyone is comfortable with the huge 5,5-inch display. Another complaint is that only a few owners will use the full potential of 4K video today. Apple For now, there is only one product that can play 4K video from the iPhone 6s, and that is Retina 5K iMac, whose price tag starts at 64 CZK. Not even a new one Apple TV 4 does not support 4K video from the iPhone 6s, which is incomprehensible and Apple it kind of breaks up its ecosystem where everything made sense and everything always fit together.
Recording on the iPhone 6s in 4K is great, for example, for YouTubers who want to provide high-quality video to their subscribers, among whom there may be a few who will really use the 4K resolution because they own one of the more expensive 4K or even 5K monitors, the price of which it's going down, but it's still quite high and the average user still won't just buy it.
It is thanks to YouTubers that we come to another disadvantage of 4K video from the iPhone 6s, and that is YouTube. Apple directly on its website suggests that you edit the video in iMovie for iOS and uploaded it straight to YouTube, which, unlike Vimeo, fully supports 4K. But the uploaded video on YouTube is compiled and its quality does not fully match the quality of the video played on the Mac after copying from the iPhone. I also encountered this problem when trying to upload a sample video from my iPhone 6s to YouTube. For this reason, I decided to upload the video as a file to uloz.to, from where you can all download it and play it in full quality on your PC or Mac by clicking on the image below. It is just a short video so that it is not too long and everyone can download it. The video was recorded quickly, when I quickly took my phone out of my pocket and started recording immediately. Despite my fast movements, the video quality is great and it is not at all noticeable that I was quickly waving my phone around.onem in an effort to capture everything.
Summary: yes for some, maybe for others
After exhaustively writing the review iPhone We are 6sonethey got on theonec. To summarize everything in the following few sentences, I had to think a lot and weigh all the pros and cons. I came to the conclusion that iPhone 6s is such an update to the smartphone from Applu, which we haven't had here yet. Although at first glance it looks almost the same as last year's model, it has undergone many drastic changes inside and partly on the surface. First of all, there is the 3D Touch display, which is the successor to Multi Touch technology and takes the control of the phone to a completely new level. It is absolutely clear that other smartphone manufacturers will soon start offering 3D Touch or Force Touch displays, but Apple has once again taken the lead and dictates how everything around the pressure-sensitive display should look. At the same time, we have received such pleasantries as Live Photos, faster Touch ID and a more solid body, which are interesting but don't give us a reason to upgrade. And nakonec here we have the most important thing - a better rear and especially front camera, support for 4K video recording, but most importantly a significantly faster processor, 2GB RAM, an improved Wi-Fi antenna and a twice as fast LTE chip, which ensures really smooth web browsing on 4G, which you can already catch almost everywhere in the Czech Republic. iPhone The 6s is a model that hasn't been here before, mainly because it's so far ahead of the curve. I think if you buy one iPhone 6s, so you won't have to upgrade to a newer model for a long time due to its enormous performance.
At the same time, I highly recommend purchasing iPhone 6s to all owners of older devices such as iPhone 5s, 5 or even 4s because the difference in performance is clearly huge and new iPhone you will love it because of its speed. Sooner or later you will also love the larger diagonal and you will understand that working with a larger display is much better, faster and more efficient. In addition, the longer battery life is something that you will get enough of with the iPhone 6s and suddenly you will understand that your old model is really old and that it was actually quite slow and small.
As for owners of last year's iPhone 6, I would venture to say that an upgrade is not entirely necessary. iPhone The 6s is much more powerful, but for example the quality of photos is not significantly different, faster application launch is also negligible and battery life is basically the same. The reason could be mainly the 3D Touch display, faster LTE, 4K video or a significantly better FaceTime camera. But we will see the same and something more in a year with the iPhone 7 and maybe even get rid of the protruding lens and unsightly stripes.
So the question is whether you want to empty your wallet again after a year or whether you will treat yourself to something different this year and go all the way to the next model, which will offer the same thing, including a completely new design and perhaps even greater progress in the field of photo taking. iPhone The 6s is here with many improvements that are really tempting, so it's up to you whether you go for it or not. We'll bring a larger comparison with last year's model next week, so you can get more accurate information about whether you should buy it next Friday. iPhone 6s to buy or not.

Thanks for the great review :)
And how much 4K video can you record with that 16GB of memory?
I agree with the positive assessment, it is precisely because of such reviews that I have been visiting this website for years ??.
Thank you zan!
Perfect, I fully agree with the review. Thanks.
??
Really great review, thanks a lot :-))
Great, thanks!:)
Great :)
Is the 16GB enough? how much does one photo take on average? But great article ;)
Thanks for the review…Well done :)
Hats off, the review is good and comprehensive, but I would still say that in my opinion it is the most innovative compared to last year's version of RAM, Touch ID and 3Dtouch. Only RAM as far as it goes safari I don't really care, it's more that the applications that keep loading when I go to do something else for a while were really annoying and especially on my memory. iphone 6 plus where full HD resolution needs to be buffed, so this and the even improved touchscreen are the main reasons why I'm even considering an upgrade. touch id It's going great, but if what you write is true... touch id It works even with damp and wet fingers, so there's nothing to worry about, because I have a waterproof case and it's excellent, but the inability to unlock in the pool through touch ID It was really annoying because I don't use the password much, so I set it to be very complex and not just 4-6 characters. 3D is also interesting, but as it was written, there is not much use for it yet, so for me personally, the two things written above are more important than cameras, processor, etc. :)
Sourness: It varies a lot, but on average a photo is around 3-4 MB. I think that 16GB is enough for ordinary users, even I have always had enough with it, but it is definitely not for 4K video, because you can fit about 16 minutes into a 15GB iPhone if you install a few more basic applications and take, for example, around 500 photos photos or something more.
swindle
16 GB iPhone has 11574 MB of available memory,
4 minute of 375K video is 6 MB, so you can record 30,8 minutes of 4K video on the XNUMXS
Amnart: Yes, but I was counting on normal use of the phone, so not that you will only shoot 4K with it, but also download a few of the most used applications and take photos.
Daniel
I know what you meant :)
it's just that if you use your mobile phone normally, you'll only get 15 minutes of 4k video,
4K video makes sense when you buy it iPhone with 128GB of memory, but not 16GB, you also have to own a TV that supports it so that you can play it, otherwise I don't know what the point would be, watching 4K on an iPhone on such a small screen is a bit silly, and as far as I know how to shoot 4K on iPhone 6sPlus is something different than shooting on a smaller 6s, the Plus has optical stabilization and the classic 6s doesn't anymore, so it's a difference, that's why apple wants to indicate you want a top? buy a 6sPlus and the best of 128GB variabecause on smaller capacities you are limited as far as 4K is concerned, but then again, 4K video is not a problem for everyone, it's definitely not for me personally, I shoot or take pictures on my phoneone very rarely, and for some snapshots or a couple of videos of some kind of celebration, I can get by with the current 5s, but that doesn't mean that when I rarely use it, that other users are the same as me, it depends on the priority of who will use it, while for taking pictures of the night sky, not even the best mobile in the world can compare to my SLR camera, and I'll really claim mine here iPhone don't rely on a SLR camera
Thanks for the nice review.
I won't allow myself to comment on statements that "4K is pointless because you have nothing to play it on":
Video footage will become interesting, usually in a few years, so the fact that you have nowhere to play it NOW does not mean that you will not appreciate it in a few years. I still have video footage from VHS in my iMAC (20-30 years old footage), if at that time it was possible to record on tapes in full HD, I would appreciate it right now.
breakupone: that grammar of yours, shock…
Yeah, great review, that's a mustchat. And that probably convinced me to wait for the seventh. Here I have an ip6 and ipad mini retina and I will sell the file now miniand I'll get a four. Well, we'll see what the seven has to offer, but I have no doubt that they'll keep the same display, if not better, and maybe even a better sensor in the camera... I don't know. Anyway, thanks for making the decision easier :o).
4K is fine even on 16 GB and I don't think that as long as one uses iCloud there will be a problem with space, I have 16GB on mine iPhone 28 GB of photos, about 300 videos, and I still have 1,5 GB free, and I would have even more if I added the crap that accumulates for everyone from time to time, such as the fact that I have 2 games that have a total of 3,5 GB and I play one of them once every two months, so it's possible to exist just fine with 16 GB as long as you useCloud and I prefer to pay monthly euro for him as for iPhone + 100 GB when I don't use it :)
I spoke with the 3D Touch team after the presentation, the function intrigued me, but I find it completely impractical as written in the article, some actions take longer, are pointless or take the same time as classic control, and what's more, I didn't realize that it could be difficult for anyone to use, but beauty...
The only thing I like about it is multitasting and trackpad from the keyboard. Otherwise, I thought they would handle force touch differently...
It's just not possible to get by with 16GB. Even though I will use itcloud, photos and videos there, music via apple music, so I'll have to have FUP like a pig. I have it all, 4G is growing rapidly but it's still not everywhere. If I add it up and underline it, the extra 2500 for 64GB is worth it and it's more convenient than dragging it aroundcloudandmusic. And not everyone enjoys being dirtychat in the music library and thinking about what I have offline and what I don't. 4K video, if it can't be changed to a smaller size, is a nightmare in 16GB. I'm not saying it can't be done, but it's worth paying extra for the strap. And I don't film much, I don't take pictures, and I don't have an app for every piece of crap either.
3D Touch and other gadgets are great and just a great model as it should be. I won't change from the six to a new one every year like I have done so far. Touch ID I think it was a bigger and more useful feature than 3D Touch. Can't you imagine life without TouchID?
I now have a terrible dilemma... I own iPhone 6 16GB and I wanted to upgrade to Plusko (because of the screen size) and 64GB (I'm still struggling with space). But now I don't know whether to do it with the 6S model or wait for the version iPhone 7 Plus 64GB… The most massacre is the upgrade price 27.500 – 12.000 = 15.500 CZK – I don't know if it's worth it or not :-(
Wow, why do you still need to deal with the 16Gb version?! however, when someone is already paying over €700 for a mobile phone, then the €100 for 64Gb is a waste. And at least then you don't have to worry about how much space you have in your mobile :) btw, someone was there last year in mzone at the midnight sale?
Most people are not interested in the fact that you can also work with the 16GB model if you want, the point is that Apple it is clearly pointing the middle finger and forcing people to buy 64GB models. It is the end of 2015. Is there any reason (other than profit for Apple) ficat on the same configuration as from 2011? Pure lack of insight on the part of this and several technology companies. Big minus for Apple odomna, if I want to push myself away by force and carTo put a smile on the customers' faces, let them offer 64-128. And next year 32.
F12: you can change the resolution, just like on the ipad.
I understand people looking at the price, but do you really think if there wasn't a 16GB version that the 64GB would be cheaper?
Most of all on this one Apple earns, the difference in costs is small, the difference in price between versions with higher memory is appropriate.
Anyway, 16GB is really not enough nowadays, but there are cases of people for whom it is enough.
Even so, it's not worth looking at the prices of the 16GB versions, but only comparing 64GB vs 128GB, thanks to the basic version iPhone becomes more accessible to a wider range of customers.
The lack of a 32 GB version doesn't matter so much, even though I now have a 32 GB phone and it's just right :)
Daniel Prazak: I would like to ask if you have noticed a slight yellowing on the display of the new iPhone compared to the iPhone 6. I compared the two side by side while browsing the web via safari and simply the white on the iPhone 6 is whiter and the overall color rendition seems more balanced to me. I note that the display brightness was set the same on both. Thanks
Pro Personally, for me, 3 thousand is a pretty big difference and so 16 GB wins. I still roll everything into cloudu.
F12: I don't have the same opinion about it, absolutely nestI am sorry for what happened. iPhone I have it or not, I simply don't manage it and leave it to the OS, and with 16 GB having the capacity I have with the fact that I have crap there (which I don't really need much, I'm just kind of lazy to delete them, because why, if they don't bother me there) is great. I have 2100 MB per month and I use it Apple Music, I don't need a terrible flat rate and my average consumption is around 1,5 GB.
Still uploading photos to iCloud takes place only on WiFi and with sufficient battery capacity. I also mostly listen to music on wifi - no problem.
You know, it doesn't matter whether you have 16 GB or 64 GB, as long as you have a Mac or other device and you want to have all your libraries synchronized everywhere, because your phone will upload everything to i anywayCloud (if you use the service) and therefore what will result from this? The fact that you will theoretically have 45 GB free - that is, it would be like that for me if I left the photos optimized.
This way you can actually say that I save money, because I don't need to buy more expensive ones iPhone and I'd rather buy it tooCloud and it will cost me less over the years of use.
If I bought a higher capacity, I would still pay iCloud so that I can have whole libraries updated with me everywhere, that is, iCloud I pay anyway, but for iPhone with a higher capacity I don't have to and I save €100 on it.
Otherwise explained, evenCloud it solves the capacity problem - it's a more elegant and cheaper way to store large amounts of data, so I don't think 16GB is unusable.
S Touch ID I agree, I think it's a bigger hit than 3D touch.
Kaparzo: I was there, but just to look :D
Info
There is a new update
Hi, what update? I am solving a puzzle with 6s..
I bought a 6s in Dresden in advance (also only 16GB :D) but that's enough for me... And I'm solving the problem. When they adjust the volume in the settings, everything is decently loud. And mainly the sound of the screen lock. As soon as I go outside the settings and lock the screen, the volume is quite a bit lower.. Is this a phone fault or a software issue? I think I didn't have it with the classic 6... And honestly, it bothers me a lot.. No one can tell what it is and whether it's wrong. Could any 6s owners try this please? Thanks a lot.
IOS 9.0.2.
9.0.2 has been released for about two or three days - I already have it installed :D
Sorry, I'm a jerk. I missed that it's been a long time. Excuse…!
In my opinion, there is no point in apologizing - men. I would like to ask you if you would try to test the problem that I have with your iPhone? It's about 3 posts up…
Could someone please try this:
I click on the phone icon, then home button and then the phone icon again.
My phone never responds to the second attempt, nor to the Safari and other system icons. The phone responds to repeated pressing. Thanks
A trillionaire: Your problem works for me.. Everything responds as it should. Try resetting it..
MKBHD released a video review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E357cGzOGLM
misak: I'll look at it tomorrow and let you know :)
FunScreen: It does for me too, but it's not that much of a difference.
billionaire: I don't have your problem.
Technical for 4K TV owners:
What is the way to play 4K video from iPhone Are you using the 6S on a 4K TV?
Nice review, but incomplete. The battery life comparison table intentionally excludes models so that the new iPhones fit into the top five. If last year's Nexus 6 (3220 mAh), LG G4 (3000 mAh), Note 5 (LG G4 (3000 mAh) or the current Xperia Z5 Premium (3430 mAh) were there, the table would look COMPLETELY different.
Same photo in pale-blue = photos are taken in ideal conditions. So far, I have not seen photos here in worse light conditions (dark room, twilight, darkness..).
Nothing against anyone or anything, I just feel that the new iPhones would be the best even if they had a 500 mAh battery and f/3.0 lens aperture
Buttom.CZ: The table wasn't about it being iPhone in the top five, but to show the difference between the individual models apphunting phones. If they were going to take away all the other phones, I would have left only the iPhones there and taken a picture, but that wasn't possible.
You're right about the photos, but I'm saving the worse conditions for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s comparison itself
buttom: this is where you wanted to go http://samsungmagazine.eu , you've obviously made a mistake.
Very respectful and instructive review. Thanks. :-)
According to the test in the link, it has iPhone 6 with a significantly better camera than the Samsung S6 Edge. The photos are divided vertically, scrolling to the sides is very interesting.http://www.theverge.com/2015/9/25/9397055/best-smartphone-camera-test-iphone-6s-samsung-galaxy-lg
Joe:
The way I looked at the comparison, the Samsung definitely took a better photo... either I missed something or I just see that the Samsung handles it better.... If I'm wrong, I guess someone will explain it to me..
Pistachio you are right.
I watched the video on The Verge some time ago and it's clear that Samsung has a bit of a lead in the camera, but the difference is quite negligible, if I remember correctly it did best with the night photo of the highway and also offered truer colors in the portrait, the other photos are more or less each better in something else, so I would say that all three cameras are very good and the customer neuroif there is a mistake, let it go to any model and it will come into its own when taking pictures. LG had a good photo from the front camera in the dark.
Pistak, yes Samo won this test, I pulled the runner to the left believing I was revealing their photo iPhone.
Come on, you'd be right.
It is constantly being solved here that 16GB of memory is not enough. I have the opposite opinion.
I subscribe to 1GB of space on i for €50 per month.Cloud, I have Spotify (+ lots of offline music) and 16GB of memory is enough for me since iPhone 3GS. I've never had a problem with it giving me nestOkay. Now I have more than 700 photos, a few games, some of the most necessary applications and I still have about 1.5GB of free space.
Since I also download movies to iPhone and I play it on a smart TV, so 16gb is definitely nestI have the 64 version and 9,5 GB of free space.
And I'm not talking about navigation, recorded videos, app photos, etc.
Venco is enough because it has to be! There is never enough space. Me nestNot even 64GB. 16GB is simply not enough.
Size designed for those who borrow from grandmothers and parents, save for two years and then buy iPhone, just so they can be cool.
Or the other kind of people who don't care how much memory it has because they just call and go to the facebook (sometimes the music)
koss: I completely agree. 16GB is a joke and it is for people who have 5 applications, 5 albums and 5 photos.. I often make FHD 60fps videos and have lossless iTunes in iPhone. So far it's pretty good (8GB free out of 64GB), but if Apple yes 4K 60Fps on the next one iPhone.. I'm going to 128.
Off topic question: I installed El Capitan on my IMAC and since then my mail is dropping. Does anyone have the same problem?
Shit - you have a nice nickname. But to the point, after updating to Majora, I had to enter the name and password of the outgoing mail server. In the case of an e-mail with an attachment, e.g. document in office, which I have received or created and I want to forward it, I must use the "forward as attachment" option. Classic app crash unregistered.
Jozko : and my last name is Kapitán, and my name is El Capitan...
Ellendway: I totally agree, I'm the same way, I just have a lot more photos.
Venca, koss: you are absolutely right. Once you buy iPhone, try to use it and don't brag about the fact that I have an expensive 128GB iPhoneMy opinion?
It is you who buy large capacities who want to show off and be cool for what you have, and then you list it everywhere like this. Apple it is profiting from you, thanks to your ignorance, which makes you "fear" that 16 GB nestachi.
Let's discuss.
I agree with the team that considering how long the 16GB has been with us it would be time to change or I don't think it's a good idea.
I use a Mac and complete services for me Apple gives, thanks to that I have iPhone cheaper and gives me more. So just buy unnecessarily large capacities, because you can't use the services that you Apple gives or start using them we'll see if you're still of the opinion that 16 GB nestMaybe in the time before andCloud I dealt with Libraries here and there, but not since then.
Puzzle:
I have in iPhone 28GB of photos, unlimited music (hint: thanks Apple MUSIC), approx. 20 apps that I actively use and three games that have a size of 3 GB.
iPhone it gives me more than if it gave me a 64GB model without iCloudI will still save €100 for a higher capacity.
I have 16GB iPhone, how is that possible? ;)
Tip 1: I'm not a magician.
Tip 2: I'm not a liar (or should I attach a screen for iCloud unconscious?)
If someone is a gamer and his priority on the phone is to play games, shoot a feature film in one shot or watch on iPhone movies (which I don't understand why someone watches movies on their small mobile phone when they can on TV or PC, but nothing against taste) then I take it back.
Majdy, you don't have it all in your mobile, but in the cloud, without a signal in the dust...
jozko: It's a bit misguided to immediately categorize it as "no signal in the dust", and I'll explain why right away:
1. today you have a relatively good signal everywhere in cities and even in villages, LTE is expanding quickly too, I don't remember when I was out of signal and needed something
2. do you have Wi-Fi at home (I do AirExpress port – Airplay great via MUSIC)
3. if you are out of signal range in advance, be there as planned and take the music offline in advance if you need it or if you are not going to listen to it somewhere in the forest and I don't think that you will want it on your iPhone view the complete 28 GB library of photos (it works if by chance, but not all of them will be in full quality)
Conclusion? I have it all in my mobile. Physically or not, it doesn't matter, because it looks the same and works the same (no delay), + I saved on a higher capacity, but if you live at the North Pole, sorry, it will probably be better for you iPhone with 128 GB - then I highly recommend it.
No, there is not a good signal everywhere and when I am on chatI would be in a hurry. The fact that it's enough for you is just proof that you're making compromises in order to save money.
I don't have to save anything and I have everything available everywhere, including offline music. Google play which I wouldn't have listened to otherwise on my bike.
And I don't have to think about what and how I will need it where. And I think that for about 3000 CZK it is a good choice
And on chatDo you go to show or view a complete gallery of photos?
I don't make compromises to save money, that's bullshit, I look like a person who pays for himselfCloud and MUSIC as a person who wants to save? Because I use it maxpotential Apple equipment do I compromise? Sorry, but I might as well say that you are the one making the compromise.
I also don't have to save anything. andCloud takes care of it for me, whether it's all photos, videos, contacts, their photos, notes, reminders, calendar, emails, calls, history in safari, open tabs, imessages, sms, facetime, music library, etc etc.
So no, I don't really need to save anything. The only thing I have to do is to save some music offline if I'm traveling somewhere, after all, I have internet everywhere, whether I'm in the city, the village or at home. I don't have to think and nestI'm sorry, I'm just using it. €100 would be a good choice if a person is a gamer or if there is no iCloud.
And otherwise, the internet doesn't work, so that you can enjoy music other than stored offline in Google Play didn't he listen? Otherwise, it also goes to 16GB iPhone, which, by the way, can hold a huge amount of music, I think as much as you would like nestI can't hear anything on that bike. BTW: do you often look at those bike photos in parts where you don't have a signal? Is the accident rate high with such an activity or not?
Majdy: I agree with you! I've had the same thing for several years :).
I have a 5S 32GB (+50GB iCloud) and I have 16GB of it free. I'm on edge. I have 1993 photos, 35 videos (short), 40 songs (as emergency music), 103 applications (only some logic games). I took the 32GB version because there was a difference of only 40 euros with the operator (the company has better prices with the operator). Everyone around has a 16 and that's enough. Most people fill up their phone mostly with photos/short videos, and those in an optimized format don't take up much. Some music for traveling doesn't have to be gigabytes either. Of course, over the years, people will fill up the 16GB, but at that time, 16GB will no longer be the basis.
Majda:
1) data is definitely expensive (LTE with large FUP) + additional fees for iCloud.
2) last week I sold a plus 16GB and the best experience for me on the whole phone was - how can one save money!
I could write here XY other examples where the low capacity complicates its use, for example sailing on the sea, where you want to have space to capture experiences, videos or play music without compromises and there is no signal or you find Wi-Fi that is so slow that barely loads a mobile site.
From my point of view, you are presenting a somewhat comical defense of what we know a lot from practice. So please, it suits you (although after your reactions I'm more convinced of the opposite) ok, it's fine, but please don't defend something that can't even be defended very well.
Paul:
Operators are expensive, but you probably use them iPhone without internet? Because that's even more pointless today than that Apple sells 16 GB iPhone.
Plus you have Wi-Fi everywhere and unless you browse daily on public transport (or elsewhere where you use mobile data) the entire library of photos from iCloudua you don't listen to non-stop music, so the regular package must be enough for you. I don't understand at all why FUP is pointed out here, when people spend the vast majority of their time on wifi anyway (at home, work,...)
I personally have 2100 MB and the flat rate will cost me €18 and the average monthly consumption is around 1,8 GB.
I would pay the flat rate the same even if I had 128 GB iPhone and I would also useCloud and I paid for it monthly so that I had everything nicely synchronized, but then why should I pay for a larger capacity plus €100 when a smaller one offers me the same and I can save money this way?
Yes, andCloud there are fees, €12 per year, €24 for two years, which is less than €100.
It shows you are ignorant about iCloudabout how it works. See post by Ellendway or Kegur, they use iCloud and they fit into 16 GB because they know how to use their device.
I would accept the argument that someone travels by boat if we are not exactly a landlocked country, but ok, if someone is like that, please, it makes sense for him, but I don't believe that everyone who cries here travels by boat every day.
I'd rather "defend" something based on experience and facts than based on ignorance and assumption, which is clearly your case.
Pro Most users will probably be fine with 16GB, because as you write, there is alsocloud, but with the new 6S shooting 4K videos, I think 16GB is small and the device will become inconvenient when you wonder how much 1 minute of video takes up.
The point is, is that enough for you and you're probably not an obsessive cameraman who shoots videos every day, etc. I currently have 16GB, but I'm going to switch to a new phone and I'll definitely choose 64GB. variaI don't just do it because it's more comfortable. And in what way?
I like to travel and go on vacation 2-3 times a year and if I'm going to document everything etc. then just 16 GB nestYes, there is wifi everywhere these days, but it is not fast everywhere and data abroad is unfortunately an expensive affair. That is one of the main reasons for me to choose a larger capacity and moreover, for the top model I would see a base of 32 GB rather than 16 GB.
kammol: who forces you to record in 4K?
No one is forcing you, but if there is an opportunity, why not ;-) and I also charge something for the second video in full HD ;-)
hi
I would like to ask about real-life experience whether videos from an iPhone 6S in 4K can be played through Photo Stream on an iPad mini retina and then edit them in imovie on the aforementioned iPad. I would like to get one iphone 6S, but 64gb is too much for me when I have all my data on the iPad, but if the videos couldn't be played like this, I would have nothing else left. Thank you
Hello,
I would like to ask you a question, although not entirely about the reviews above.
I got it iPhone 4 and I'm thinking about buying a new device. The question arises should I buy iPhone 6 Plus 64gb or iPhone 6s 16gb + iPad?
I would choose the 6 Plus because of the battery life and image stabilization.
6s again thanks to a larger ram and 3D touch display.
I would add an iPad to my 6s, but if I were to buy one iphone plus I would also use it as an iPad.
what is worth more for a 24K price tag? I would also like to point out that the 16 GB version would be enough for me, I am only dealing with the device, now I have 8,9 GB of space on my iPhone.
Thank you
Hello,
I have a question about the durability of the display. An awful lot of iP 6 users complain about the huge difference compared to previous models, that the 6 gets scratched very quickly and easily breaks even with a minor impact. Do you think the new 6s will be the same?
I will be happy for any opinion, I still have 5s with which I am very satisfied, it has fallen off a few times and never the slightest problem, so the durability of sixes scares me a little :)
Thank you
Hello,
I am considering buying a new iPhone 6s, as the price is quite high, so I would like to know if it would be cheaper to buy the phone abroad, for example in Germany (through an E-shop, if you know of one, I would be very grateful) :-)
Thank you
