About the new iPhone 6 we already knew practically everything, but one thing still remained a mystery. We are talking about the resolution of the new iPhone, since according to speculation he had a new one iPhone offer a resolution of 1704 × 960 pixels. 9to5mac however, he pointed out that this was one of several possible resolutions, and it was this that received the designation Retina@3x, since this resolution was supposed to be three times higher than the resolution of the first models iPhone and at the same time it was half as big as the resolution it has iPhone 5s.
But now it has been possible in a new Xcode 6 to iOS 8 to discover evidence of resolution which Apple will use minibarely in one of the two phone models iPhone. According to what is hidden in the SpringBoard code, i.e. the home screen iOS 8, is the home screen iOS 8 ready for a resolution of 1472 × 828 points, which still works in the basic "Retina" mode - that's why the resolution is marked as 414 × 736 without upscaling. Apple could use this resolution for both models at the same time iPhone 6, since in both cases the pixel density would be higher than 300 ppi. For the 4.7-inch model, the pixel density would be 359 ppi, while for the 5.5-inch model, it would be 307 ppi.
However, it is also worth noting that Apple wanted to start using the new resolution "Retina @3x", which should represent a triple upscaling of the preset resolution. In that case, he could have a new one iPhone a resolution of 1242 × 2208 points, which would have a density of 4.7 ppi for the 539-inch model, while it would be almost 5.5 ppi for the 461-inch model. However, that kind of density is too much for the phone to work with, especially if obsession proves itself this year Appwith thinness and iPhone 6 will again be thinner than previous models.
"We know the resolution iPhone 6!” Fantastic headline…. But you wouldn’t know if I wrote that iPhone 6 will have this and this resolution... And I won't write here several types of resolution that it "MIGHT" have... It's just a guess as to how it will probably be...
@3x is some nonsense.
Each graphic (image) in the application must exist in two variantách – one without the suffix and one with the suffix. For example LSA.PNG and LSA@2x.PNG. Prothe grammarian in the program "prescribes" the usage LSA.PNG, but the system will automatically use the version with the @2x extension when running on retina.
Pro I don't see a reason to introduce @3x.
Everything is known here and the best :)
They always know everything here better than any journalistic website in the whole world, so get used to it :-) what about the fact that they change the guaranteed news every other day and also supply us with copies from the markets... especially that there is room to stuff advertising ;)
We know everything, namely that we know nothing.
I doubt such a meaningless resolution on the iPhone. That all applications would have to be redone with a ratio of 1:2,5875? The developers would probably be happy about that. Moreover, I have absolutely no idea from which number series such a distinction is derived, it has no logic and no benefit whatsoever. The only positive would be a higher resolution, thus a higher ppi, but this can also be achieved with the mentioned @3x, which undoubtedly has more advantages.
