The first impression is always important, and it was this that influenced the reputation Apple Maps. The service, which was introduced two years ago and during which time several people lost their lives, is not as bad nowadays as it used to be. Apple however, as an indication of the openness of the new iOS 8 brought greater openness and cooperation with other mapping services. If the users deem it appropriate, v iOS 8 beta 3 and later, users can switch faster from Apple Maps to another application such as to Google Maps.
Proces is smooth and works not only when searching for locations, but also when navigating. If the user in iOS 8 selects the destination, where he is headed and where he wants to be navigated, then next to the "Car" and "Walk" options, he offers the "Applications" option, where the user can choose one of the available installed applications and the information about the planned route is automatically transferred to the given application. Apple with this step too, it presents a greater openness of the system, within which the system has come a little closer to Android again.
the approximation of Android will be determined by the price of the share applu will not add, in my opinion, with this opening, Russia is violating its basic sandbox philosophy, security will go down the drain
It still runs in Sandbox. On WWDC they explained that and it's still secure communication…
It's a shame that this is all cooperation... according to the title, I expected to be able to see my performances and movements from some kind of "Tracking" App"right on the mountains in a 3D map. That would be great, to be able to rotate the 3D map with the mountain range and see where I moved on the mountain :) but I believe I will see it :)
borec: Maybe something like this will happen, after all Apple Maps can also be used as an API and can thus cooperate with HealthKit with applications.
I am incredibly happy thatonets iOS opens and catches up with android
