New CEO Microsoftu Satya Nadella announced today at a press conference what iPad users have been waiting for for almost 4 years. Microsoft will release the official versions of the apps today Word, Excel and PowerPoint for iPad tablets. While the app itself will be available for free to everyone, it will require a subscription Office 365. This subscription, which costs $99 per year, is part of the company's new business model, which gives users the ability to manage and use Office on 5 PCs or Macs and also get 20GB of bonus storage on the service OneDrive.

Word, Excel and PowerPoint will appear in the iTunes menu App Store already today at 20:00 our time. At the same time, the company published the first screenshot, on which we can see that the flat environment of the application Word fits very well with the operating system environment iOS 7, which it will likely require as the lowest supported version. The applications will be free to use for viewing and presenting saved documents, but if users want to use the application to create new documents and presentations, they will have to pay a subscription Office 365. The fact that part of the functions are charged is justified primarily by the fact that Microsoft is a software company and software sales make up the majority of its revenue, especially the division Windows a Office.
