after a long time toonesomething interesting is happening, great

It's a great thing, but I miss audi and wv there :P
Ondras
it can't be because Audi has abandoned the classic ones for new models dockú for large navigation and does it have a retractable display? I also have a touch screen in my car, but it's probably a more complicated intervention in production than when another car manufacturer replaces the dockyour navigation for this device CarPlayHowever, I am in Audi iPhone The iPad also works great thanks to BT and WiFi and both can be controlled via the MMI remote control. data from iOS My devices are then displayed on the large display and between the alarms – all without the need to connect anything anywhere. It's nice.
...but it's just my opinion, maybe there hasn't been an agreement between yet Apple and by the concern on financial terms (which is more likely)
Shouldn't Audi have reached an agreement with Google so they should use something similar but with Android?
Or am I just imagining it? Give someone info about it if you know.

Ondrass, I also regret the absence of VW, and Audi already has a contract with Google for Android
Ok, but still a shame :)
And why is HONDA part of the Open Auto Alli?ances Android and also introduces HONDA i Apple as a supporting brand CarPlay?
I think that car companies should not be strictly contractually bound to one platform. In my opinion, it has such a big impact on user comfort that I can imagine that someone could easily choose a competing car brand just because their phone supports it.
how it looks in "almost" reality:

If they had designed the surface of the gear lever like magic mouse This could save you from having to grab the screen in many cases.
Great! I've been looking forward to it for a long time.. But to be honest, I would like them to introduce it as their new products (presentation), not put it on the website andonevs..
Jarys
can you specify how you have it connected?
Broky
I have the latest A6 model in full equipment and BT and WiFi connection is there from the factory. I didn't do anything to it. I just bought a cable to connect it iOS device and MMI – so now I have two variaconnection options iPhone:
1) either via BT wirelessly (it can even connect two devices at the same time. iPhone as a handsfree and iPad for playing music) It shows me incoming calls, SMS and music on the main slide-out display and also between the alarms. I can play music and browse through the iPad albums either via the large MMI remote control or the roller on the steering wheel.
2) or I will link iOS device with a special cable (purchased from AUDI) and the functions are identical to those described above. The only plus is that it iOS the device also charges in this case. And one more little thing – I have a headrest holder for the iPad and if someone is riding in the back, I can play a movie there. Unfortunately, when connecting only via BT (when the movie is running on the iPad and the sound is going to the speakers in the car), after some time there is a slight distortion of the sound and the picture. The sound has a delay of several milliseconds compared to the picture. If I connect the iPad with the MMI cable, the problem described above does not occur.
Otherwise, I have to say that people really like it. When my friends and I were driving a long distance and we played music wirelessly from the iPad to the Bang & OlufsThe speakers in the car were so loud that the guys were fighting over the iPad in the car, who would play the next song.
It's really great when you put an iPad in the hands of the passengers in the back of the seats and they DJ along the way :-)
