Fusion Drive is a special configuration from Apple, which combines a fast SSD and a classic hard drive into one unit. The system then automatically moves the most frequently used files to the fast SSD, while the rest is stored on a large-capacity hard drive. This combines the advantages of an SSD (speed) and a hard drive (size). Fusion Drive It looks like one repository and you don't have to worry about anything. Apple offers this configuration on new, thin iMacs, but with nsparkle you can have it on your existing iMac as well.
The offer is valid until 2. 8. 2013 for iMac models 2009 to 2011. Basic varianta for 9 CZK incl. VAT includes the creation of Fusion Drive from your existing hard drive, for 5 CZK you can have Fusion Drive 3TB large. More at nsparkle.cz/fusion-pro-imac
The price is really high!
But so that it's not just a cry into the void as if I were a "sock" as people popularly refer to themselves these days :D
I know how to create in OS X Fusion. Drive on any PC or Mac, where I have OS X on an external drive. All that is needed for this is just a console :) and an SSD with HDD. So the only thing I would need them for is replacing or adding an SSD to the iMac, because I wouldn't dare to take this step...
Consoles, disks... and you don't dare to use a quite trivial disk... me, you are an incredible fusion hacker :D
DomoKun: have you already distributed imac? it's not a complete blunder... :-)
It's not a strumpet... I'm a tinkerer, most of the electronics from my youth are somewhere around me :D
ifixit, youtube, pretty handy hands.. it's cool.
DomoKun ... Yeah, but if you screw it up ... It's not a problem to take off the display, it's more like it didn't get damaged or something else. After all Apple machines are expensive toys :D
I apologize in advance for being offtopic, but you guys are doing great safari on 10.8.4?? I noticed frequent freezing, only when I'm on FB and zoomed in and scroll up/down. I wouldn't mind that much, I don't spend all day there. the most common thing is that when writing text, e.g. here, when I zoom in to better see what I'm writing, the cursor stops flashing and if I want to move left/right with the arrows, I move the cursor, but I have no idea where it is at that time. I have no choice but to click with the touchpad on the place where I want to delete/overwrite, or zoom out completely. did you notice it too, or am I the only one with something wrong??
I have OS 10.8.4 and safari is in version 6.0.5 (8536.30.1)
Piatro: I don't have a problem
