The more famous Chinese portal WeiPhone.com brought news a few hours ago that may indicate that we won't see a phone release this year iPhone 5S, but we can expect the arrival in September iPhone 6. Although it is not certain whether this is really true information, according to the portal it should be Apple resort to increasing the density of the display in the phone iPhone and thus bring a device that would provide Retina display with even more pixels.

According to the portal, the phone should bring a display with twice as many pixels and at the same time should bring narrower edges than before. In this case, however, it is a rather special piece of information, since in the event that Apple decided to keep the display dimensions and aspect ratio 16:9, the number 1,454,080 is simply not reached. Prothe problem is that the closest possible resolution in this case is 1607 x 905, but we still encounter a deviation of 255 points. It means that if Apple decided to bring a higher resolution while maintaining full compatibility with current software, it would have to bring one of the following resolutions:

  • 1704 x 960 pixels (total 1 pixels)
  • 2272 x 1280 pixels (total 2 pixels)

In the first case, the number of pixels would increase by 1,5 times, in the second case by up to two times. The first case is more likely in this case, if we take into account that this resolution would not have as significant an impact on the battery as the second mentioned. At the same time, the display would surpass its density Samsung Galaxy S4, the density would be 489 pixels per inch. However, it is questionable how this display would be able to display current content. However, it should be taken into account that the portal's claim conflicts with previous claims that the phone should offer the same display as iPhone 5. A in koneas a result of which Apple had to force the developers again to introduce support for the newer resolution.
