Just two days after the film crew posted a one-minute preview of the anticipated jOBS biopic on YouTube, the film premiered for the first time at the renowned Sund Film Festivalancev Park City. Only shortly after the screening, several leading servers decided to give their opinions on the film, in which Ashton Kutcher and Josh Gad played the main roles. As it seems, the film is not one of the gems of world cinematography, and even it has its faults, which some servers have tried to criticize in their reviews. The film will officially be released in April this year, but according to the ČSFD, we should not be able to see it in Slovakia until the beginning of August.

Cinema Bend

“A biographical film about a great man who is all too aware of his size. jOBS says a lot about the genius of Steve Jobs, but it doesn't show any more than it reveals."

"The main actors are likable and it seems like they really put a lot of effort into the characterization of the characters. The film looks pretty good except for some scenes where the budget feels limited. And even if the director is lenient here and there, it doesn't affect my feelings about the film, which I consider to be decently handled."

The Verge

“As expected, the movie offers some differences compared to the real story Applu and the representation of sub-actor characters, but the emotional behavior of Steve Jobs is convincing. Jobs is the unfolding story of a singularly innovative thinker and ruthless entrepreneur—one who had a remarkable and profoundly significant impact on the world. It's a good movie, but it's also very 'safe' - a familiar story that doesn't try to be a 'blockbuster'.''

“Others will be about what jOBS leaves out, spoils, or simply avoids. My biggest disappointment was the film's shallowness considering how extensive the historical record is. In the early days Applu sa Jobs' co-workers had to deal with a man who smelled bad, cried often, screamed constantly, nestran on deadlines, over budget by millions. But he did it for products we love and use daily, and yet his obsession took a toll on those around him. But he also inspired others to do the best work of their lives, pushing themselves far beyond what they imagined. It could make a great drama, but you won't find it in the movie jOBS.
