Husband and wife developer studio Imangi released a pretty interesting report a few hours ago, claiming that their new game Temple Run 2 has reached up to 20 million downloads since its release. The interesting thing is that the game itself is on App Store it was discovered as free only four days ago on January 17, 2013. According to the authors, the players have spent more than 1 years of gaming together, which has taken care of more than 775 million played sessions. Temple Run 210 is currently only available for pre iOS, coming to Android later this week. Our review of the game you can read right here.
I was quite a champion in Temple Run 1 and I played it quite often (especially on the toilet :-)) and after downloading the 2nd one I was a bit disappointed. Maybe it's my subjective feeling, but it seems to me that in the 2nd one the smoothness of the movement gave way to the nice graphics. Played on iPad 4 and iPhone 5 (both devices without JB). I've tried closing all running apps but the game still seems to stutter occasionally and nestIt's time to redraw. Does anyone else have similar feelings?
don't be surprised if it's free, I was also tempted, but it's just ordinary gold without a story and logic, then you'd better invest in MACHINARIUM OR THE ROOM, those are the right games.
2 XX: you mix apples and pears together a bit. TR2 was normally paid, and mainly its charm lies in its simplicity, when you have a few minutes to play and you don't have time to solve more complex and logical puzzles.. It is not about any story or logic at all, but purely about observation and quick reactions. Machinarium is a great game, but a completely different type than TR2!
re: Jarys Ah, then it's nothing for me and if it wasn't free I wouldn't even buy it, I don't understand the meaning of these games as well as when you run around with a gun and shoot one hoof.
