Apple has again started selling Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard, which was discontinued with the arrival of Mountain Lion this summer. But now society Apple has put its best operating system back on the menu and is available on Apple.cz for a price of CZK 399, i.e. roughly €16. Unfortunately Apple has included Snow Leopard again in the offer and customers once again have the option to buy the latest boxed version of the operating system from the company Apple, but the company itself is pushing more and more for customers to switch to newer versions of OS X.

Snow Leopard, which is currently in version 10.6.8, no longer has support for the latest applications from Applu and even some hardware. However, Snow Leopard is required for Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard users, who will gain access to Mac App Store and can update to Lion or Mountain Lion. The biggest change to the operating system was in Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard, which I still use today. Many users complained that Mac OS X 10.6 basically did not bring any visible changes. It is true that there were very few of them. Apple because he concentrated on cleaning up the source codes of the system itself so that Mac OS X 10.7 Lion and, most recently, Mac OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion could build on them. So the changes took place below the surface and there were an incredible amount of them.

Apple rewritten Finder in Cocoa, brought the removal of thousands of lines of source code and offered the cleanest operating system in its history. Personally, I truly consider Snow Leopard to be the cleanest, simplest and also the fastest operating system in the history of Mac OS X. Basically, all the changes that Lion and Mountain Lion bring are already an extension of the clean Snow Leopard. However, the biggest change for users was support only for computers with Intel processors. Apple stopped supporting PowerMac computers with Snow Leopard.
