Apple Issued MacBook Pro 1.0 Video Update that fixes computer errors MacBook Pro 15″ released in mid-2010. A small number of these computers may experience an issue where they completely freeze or stop displaying the video correctly during video playback. ProThe problem concerns playback on both the display itself MacBook Pro, as well as on an external display that you connect to your computer. A little over 70MB update should fix these issues, you can download it via Software Update in your Mac OS X or directly here.
I got it MacBook Pro 15″ from mid-2010, but my problems occurred when I upgraded to OS Lion. My Mac was randomly "freezing" and could only be restarted by a "hard" restart. So it wasn't just about displaying the video. For me, the system crashed at any time, with complete certainty it always crashed for a few seconds at startup AppStore or iTunes. I was totally frustrated because the laptop became an unusable machine.
I installed this update yesterday and I have to knock, so far Lion is stable with it.
