I recently got my hands on this micro projector, so I decided to share my experience with you in the form of this article. I have liked the idea of showing movies with a projector for some time, however, the high price at which regular projectors are sold on the Internet has always discouraged me. Today we will look at the micro projector from the company M3, which is affordable even for people who do not want to spend 20 thousand crowns or more on a projector. ProThe projector can be purchased online for just over six thousand and will be great for those who, like me, like to enjoy movies with the best possible experience.
Package contents, dimensions and weight
In the large box, you will find the projector, a power adapter, a computer connection cable, RCA cables, a stand, a protective case, a Quick Start Guide, and a Safety Guide. The first thing that will catch your eye about the projector is its miniature size. Specifically 120 x 60 x 24 mm. ProThe projector fits into your pocket without any problems and you won't even notice that you're carrying something extra in your laptop bag. It weighs 154 grams including the replaceable battery. In my hand, I can hardly feel the difference between the projector and the iPhonem 4
Design
First of all, it should be said that this is an LED projector, so we cannot expect any high performance. The LED diode in the projector has a brightness of 10 lumens and when the projector is switched to the highlighted mode, it is 12. During the day, or when the light is on, the image is almost not visible, whether it is a video, an image, or text in wordu. In order for the image to be clearly visible, complete darkness is simply necessary.
According to the manufacturer's information, the projector is capable of producing an image with a diagonal of 8 to 50 inches (20,3 - 127 cm). The following applies: The closer the projector is to the projection screen, the brighter the image. Even at a diagonal of 8 inches, the image can be seen even in daylight J. M3 proThe projector is presented as an ideal companion for work that consists of frequent presentations of materials. I have to completely disagree with this, because I can't imagine presenting anything with this projector, given its low performance.
On the other hand, if you're looking for something for evening movie screenings, this micro projector is great. ProI use the projector twice a week to screen movies, even on a larger screen than the manufacturer recommends – I estimate around 2,5 meters, and the image still looked very nice.
Sound
It should be mentioned that the projector has two built-in speakers, each with a power ofonem 0,5W. To be honest, the speakers are quiet and the sound from them is tinny. The sound quality reminds me of the time ten years ago, when mp3s first got into mobile phones. So if you don't have speakers available, I recommend that you let the integrated speaker in your laptop produce the sound. In this paragraph, I would also like to add that when projecting, the projector makes an unpleasant buzzing sound, which can be unpleasantly disturbing during quiet passages of the film.
Battery
According to the manufacturer, the battery should last 4 hours at normal brightness and 2 hours at increased brightness. Since I don't use the projector at lower brightness at all, I can only confirm the second figure. ProThe projector can really project for two hours with enhanced brightness.
záver
ProThe projector is of course not on par with large projectors costing tens of thousands of crowns, and it is definitely not suitable for working in daylight. It is more suitable for home projection, where it will certainly entertain you.
