Facebook is one of the most popular social networks these days, especially for young people. They use it every day and it often happens that chat na Facebooku is not working correctly. However, there is also an option to add Facebook account to iChatu, an application that is already in a separate Mac OS X. You will no longer need to log in to the site to be able to chatchat with friends, you will have all your accounts under one "roof".
1st step
Open andChat, is located in docku or in the applications folder.
2st step
In the Menu Bar, click on iChat, then Settings (or use the keyboard shortcut ⌘,).
3st step
Click on the Accounts tab, then on + (add account) in the lower left corner.
4st step
Select Jabber as the account type.
Account name - here you enter the data that you find on the page Facebookat. Log in, click Account, then Account Settings. Username is the second field. If you don't have one, you can create one on the site. You put it in iChat in the form : user_name@chat.facebook.com
Password - enter here the password you use when logging in to the site Facebook
5st step
Click on Server Options.
Then fill in the information:
Servers – chat.facebook.com
Port – 5222
Do not check Use SSL.
6st step
Done! Now you canChatova with friends and family in iChate!
Well, I tried it on i for a while before jaberChatWhen I tried to get ICQ up and running, it worked absolutely horribly, unreliable, clumsy, etc.
I wonder if it has improved in any way during that time, so if there was a similar instruction regarding ICQ respect, it would definitely be worth it!
JaRda: ICQ in iChate still works quite unreliably. Instead of ICQ, I would recommend you to use Adium (http://adium.im/)
Icq on iChatI've been using it for years without any problems, the only thing that bothers me is sending the file.
It doesn't work, it writes the wrong username. I created a username on fb in the form name.surname and when I want to log in, as firstname.lastname@chat.facebook.com, that's not possible...
