Regarding the specifications of the upcoming championship, in which road electric cars from Tesla will play a major role,onevery few knew long ago. The race, known as the Electric GT, will initially feature only specially modified Tesla Model S, starting at the end of this year.

After several postponements, fans of technology and auto-moto sports got to see details of the action under the auspices of Electric Production Car Series - EPCS. Information that was recently published by the site Electric GT , reveal most of the dates and locations where the given race will take place. The first and also the second races should therefore take place on the 3rd - 4th. November at the Spanish circuit in Jerez. The beginning of the season represents a total of 10 races eventov during 8 events. Competitors in their modified Model S will try to win the title on 6 well-known European circuits. In addition to Jerez, the timetable also includes iconic circuits such as the Nürburgring in Germany, Silverstone situated in Great Britain or francPaul Ricard. The remaining two locations that will take us outside the European continent are still unknown. They should be announced in the course of 2018. The Tesla Model S racing special with the designation EGT 2.0 has an electric motor output of 585 KW and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h, which is around 2,1 seconds. The front-wheel drive was replaced by four-wheel drive and the vehicle was lightened by an incredible 500 kg. The modified special is based on the Model S P100D, which had to be subsequently adapted to the conditions of circuit racing.

The events organized by Electric GT will also bring with them various accompaniments eventy. Fans of innovations, whether from Tesla's workshop or various players in the field of green technologies, will also get their money's worth.
