The middle class is full of phones that look almost the same and offer roughly the same things. With the V70 Lite 5G, which has been on Czech shelves since July, vivo is trying to differentiate itself in three ways at once - above-standard endurance, which is not compensated by a thick body, a bright AMOLED display and a camera with a Sony sensor. For 10,999 crowns, it is a combination worth paying attention to.
Endurance that counts for dozens of hours
The main attraction is the BlueVolt battery with a capacity of 6,500 mAh. In practice, this means up to 27,5 hours of YouTube video playback, enough to get the phone through a full day of intensive use and sometimes the next. More interesting than the number itself, however, is the way it fits into the phone: the profile is just 7,59 mm thick and at 194 g, the V70 Lite 5G fits into the category of regular phones, not the battery bins we are used to with similar capacities.
When the power does run out, 90W FlashCharge kicks in. A full charge takes about 52 minutes, and even ten minutes at the outlet, according to vivo, is enough for another approximately 6,6 hours of video viewing - that is, for a typical train journey or an evening with a series. Gamers are helped by the Bypass Charging function, which powers the system directly while playing and limits heating. The battery should also last a long time: the manufacturer expects at least 1,600 charging cycles, after which it should retain most of its original capacity.
Sony camera and Aura ring light
The photographic equipment is dominated by the 50MPx main Sony IMX882 sensor with a size of 1/1,95″ and an aperture of f/1,79. It is complemented by an 8MPx ultrawide-angle lens with a 120° field of view and a 32MP selfie camera on the front, both the front and rear cameras can handle 4K video - which is still not a given in this price category.
But the real speciality is the Aura Light ring light. Unlike a regular flash, it can use artificial intelligence to change the light temperature according to the surrounding conditions, so that skin tones look more natural in both cold and warm environments. It is followed by the AI Master Aura Light Portrait mode, which combines the main sensor with portrait algorithms for brighter and softer portraits. Night shots are taken care of by the Super Night algorithm, while the creative side is taken care of by retro filters, seasonal effects and AI UHD and AI Erase tools for additional editing right on the phone.
Display, sound and performance with a five-year outlook
The front is dominated by a 6,77″ AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and brightness of up to 3,000 nits. The panel can handle over a billion colors, supports HDR10+ and takes up about 90% of the front, fingerprints are scanned by an optical reader directly in the display. Sound is provided by a pair of stereo speakers with a volume increase mode of up to 400%, so the phone can handle videos or podcasts without headphones.
The 4nm chipset takes care of the performance MediaTek Dimensity 7400-Turbo, which is assisted by 6 GB of RAM, expandable by software by another 6 GB, and 256 GB of storage. For popular MOBA titles, the manufacturer mentions up to 90 frames per second, and intelligent cooling ensures stability during prolonged gaming. vivo also promises to maintain the smooth operation of the system for five years, which will be appreciated especially by those who do not change their phone every season. The system runs on the Funtouch OS 16 superstructure over Android 16 with Google integration Gemini, AI Captions and other assistive tools.
The design is complemented by a protective glass with a shock-absorbing structure, IP65 dust and splash resistance, and the ability to control the display even with wet fingers. Flat edges and a compact vertical camera module keep the back clean and subtly premium.
