Unlike regular folders, you don't have to manually move individual notes. Smart folders work based on rules you set yourself, and the application then automatically places the notes where they belong.
How Smart Folders Work
The basis is tags, i.e. labels marked with the # symbol. For example, if you use the tags #work, #school or #recipes, the application can automatically display all related notes in one place. As soon as you add the corresponding tag to a note, it immediately appears in the correct smart folder. When you remove the tag, the note disappears from the folder again. You don't have to worry about any manual sorting. Another big advantage is that one note can be part of several smart folders at the same time.
When Smart Folders Really Come in Handy
Practical applications are available to almost everyone. Students can create folders for individual subjects, work teams for different projects or clients. They are also useful for managing personal matters. For example, you can create a folder for recipes, vacation planning, home finances, etc.ance or shopping lists. Once you have correctly marked the note, the system will automatically place it in the correct place.
It only takes a moment to create
Open the Notes app and go to the folder overview. Then tap the button to create a new folder and select the option to create a smart folder. Then you set the rules by which notes should be filtered. Tags are the most commonly used, but other filtering options are also available. Once the settings are complete, the folder will start working automatically and will continuously update its contents according to the specified conditions.
