Apple recently released the third developer betas of the new versions of its operating systems. Specifically, these are iOS 26.5, iPadOS 26.5, macOS 26.5, watchOS 26.5 and subsequent updates, which come just a few days after the live releases arrived iOS and iPadOS 26.4.1. The pace is therefore quite brisk again and indicates that Cupertino still has quite a few plans for this year's systems.

Developers who are involved in the program can download new betas in the classic way through Settings, specifically in the General and Software Update section. As usual, everything is currently only available to registered developers, but the public beta should appear within one to two weeks if Apple will not encounter any major problems.

What's on iOS 26.5 and iPadOS 26.5 are particularly interesting, with anticipation surrounding new features. There has been speculation for some time about a smarter, more personalized experience. Siri, Which Apple first pointed to WWDC 2024. We were kind of expecting these news in the first betas, however, according to the available information Apple encountered technical complications and some of the planned improvements may be postponed until iOS 26.5, or even on iOS 27. In other words, a great revolution in Siri maybe he'll stay a while longer.

But that doesn't mean that iOS 26.5 was supposed to be a completely "empty" update. There's still talk about new abilities, for example Siri in the area of image generation or smarter web search, which could appear at least in a limited form. For some, a trifle, for others a traditional and welcome addition to every major update.

So if you are a developer, you have the opportunity to try out the new features right now. Others will have to wait a little longer, but at the current pace, we could see the public beta quite soon. And then it will be clearer whether iOS Will 26.5 really bring major changes, or will it be more of a calmer intermediate step before Apple will pull a heavier caliber in later versions.
