Audio sharing
It used to be common for two people to share wired headphones, each having one. U AirPods are much more elegant these days. If the other person also has AirPods or compatible Beats, you can listenchat the same music, podcast or movie at the same time, each in their own headphones. Just open Control Center on your iPhone, click the playback panel and select Share Audio. Then you bring the other headphones closer to your phone and they are connected in a moment. What's handy is that each person can adjust their own volume.
Siri reads messages directly into your ears
This is a feature that you will especially enjoy when you are outdoors or behind the wheel. Instead of constantly pulling out your phone, Siri It announces incoming messages or selected notifications directly to the headphones. When I'm running or walking quickly through the city, it's more convenient than checking the display every two minutes.
You turn it on in Settings > Notifications > Notify me of notifications and activate the option for headphones. I would then recommend going through the list of apps and notchat only the really important ones. Otherwise, you may Siri commenting on something during the day and instead of comfort, you will feel tired.
Choose which earpiece will use the microphone
Many people don't know that AirPods automatically switch the microphone between the left and right earbud based on what the system determines is best variaIn most cases this works fine, but sometimes it is more practical to set the microphone to a fixed position.
For example, if I have one earbud in my ear more often and the other one is constantly put away, manual selection makes more sense. You can find it in Settings > Bluetooth > AirPods > Microphone. Here you can choose automatic, left or right earbud. It's a small thing, but it can improve stability and sound quality during longer calls.
Live listening or when you need to hear your surroundings better
One of the most interesting features is called Live Listening. iPhone it works as an external microphone and sends the sound to AirPods. It sounds strange, but in practice it is very useful. For example, in a noisy cafe I put my phone closer to the middle of the table a few times and the conversation was suddenly much more understandable in the headphones.
Activation is simple. Add the Hearing control to Control Center, then turn on Live Listen. This isn't a "spying" use case, but rather a smart solution for situations where ambient noise drowns out normal conversation or you need to hear a specific sound source better.
Hello,
Those messages/notifications Siri correct pronunciation in CZ or SK language?
Or are we just talking about EN?
Guess what...when is the one iOS the system is so stupid that it can't even recognize Czech or Slovak names when dialing...
